phpbb2 - A Moment of silence

Today we lay an old friend to rest. She saw us through thick and thin for many years. From the first time we saw her, she was beautiful. She was 'the belle of the ball', and everyone wanted to have at least one dance with her. Men around the world wrote volumes UPON volumes about her, to her, and fo...

Raygene and Artemis - This rings a bell for some reason. I think it may be because it's a brand new install. Maybe. I didn't look at your code at all, but try adding a normal user, then installing the mod. I forget which mod, but I remember something similar to this happeneing in the past. It had so...

Ygramul - If you check your database, and see that the form isn't changing the manditory field to '1', then you are having the exact problem I was. If it is not changing from the form, check to see if it makes the field mandatory if you manually put a '1' into the 'manditory' field in the database. ...

Oh the mod is working just fine now. :) After I removed all the code from 1.02, and did a clean install of 1.03, it works just fine. :) I can only assume there was some sort of glitch when easymod installed 1.02. It didn't report anything wrong. I have no idea what was actually wrong. It works now t...

okay, i'm going to revert all files and re-load 1.03. The problem is in the form function. the data in the database is behaving perfectly. EDIT: Well, apparenty there was something hoaky in the install from 1.02. Easymod said everything installed ok, must have been some kind of glitch. Anyway, I lef...

Really? I created the new mandatory field by hand. So I'll need to re-enter all my data? that sucks. The forum members will need to re-enter their data. That sucks a lot. I used TextPad to compare the two mod files. The only difference to the database stuff is line 85: manditory tinyint(1) NOT NULL ...

Well, I did the changes, but there is still some wierdness going on. It was a little strange. The old fields I had already created kept their custom formatting. On the old fields that were mandatory, they are no longer mandatory. nothing is checked on the mandatory field On the old fields, the expre...

Ygramul - That's almost always a situation where another mod has changed the code out from other the new mod. :) Look in the mod file, and open up viewtopic.php and see if you can figure out where it's trying to put the new code. If you can't, don't worry about it, just post the chunk of the code fr...

Ok, I'm going to bed before my head starts hurting again. NOW all of the none, mandatory, text only, num only and custom labels have disappeared for no reason. Also, the custom expressions seem to still be working, but the error messages have also disapeared. The code for the missing error on the pr...

I've got it working now, as long as I don't go to the field option pages, the custom expressions don't change. I figured out how to tell it not mandatory in the expression. /^\d{5}$/ would force a five digit number /^(\d{5})*$/ would force either a five digit number OR blank. So, I have everything t...

I tihnk I am confused. That didn't seem to change how it acted. Do I need to add: && ( $code_name == CODE_NAME ) for every field where I want it mandatory and have a filter? Shouldn't that be part of the gui? I think it would be better to have the mandatory section seperate from the custom expressio...

Hey, I'm loving your extension so far. I'm having one problem though, I'm trying to make an extension filter for phone numbers and fax numbers and stuff. I'm trying to do: XXX-XXX-XXXX One mandatory and one not. I may want to do some filters on some other fields as well. Can you help me out or point...

Oh, that's the SQL command that didn't work in the first place. ^^ ALTER TABLE phpbb_ranks ADD rank_max MEDIUMINT(8) NOT NULL AFTER rank_min; I'm not sure WHY it doesn't work, probably some sort of obscure SQL update that broke it. Anyway, you'll need to go into your SQL database, find the phpbb_ran...
