Re: Cleaning Gumblar.cn hack from search_indexer* files

Just my 2 cents, but my 2.0.22 forum was hit by something similiar, if not identical to gumblar.cn It modified every index.htm and index.php file on my site. In my phpbb folders, it also found and modified auth.php and login.php If you sort your filetree by modified date, you'll easily be able to te...

I know phpBB 2x supports hotlinking to a new PM with the username filled in (u=2084 for example), but is it possible to fill in the subject line as well? I would *love* this

wanted example:

Code: Select all

Re: Make Each Topic's Link Be a SubDirectory to the phpbb Root

If it's the same link you'll be giving out over and over again, simply create the folder yourself and make a quick redirect index.htm I have that for a few threads that ppl constantly hit, so I take the following code and where enterURLhere is located, place the phpBB thread URL. Then, when people h...

Re: The humanizer

For Win XP, to permanently prevent this in the future, right click on the file while holding down Shift. Now select Open With. Now select Choose Program. Now Select Notepad or Wordpad and also check Always use the selected program to open this kind of file.

Re: [RC3] Users Reputation System Mod

You may not be using prefixes in your DB. like phpbb_tablename where phpbb_ is the prefix... I don't have them either, so certain mods I need to edit out all the prefixes to make it work properly...

Re: [BETA] Edit Notes / Edit Reasons

Hi. Sorry, I really don't know. All I was going to say if if you're not using MySQL and one of its alternatives instead, maybe that's why, but it's kind of over my head. I know my personal board isn't set up with the phpbb_ prefix and on certain mods I have to alter all the SQL before I install it B...

Re: [RC3] Users Reputation System Mod

Has anyone got this working correctly? what are your thoughts... a pretty good mod? Why has the MOD author not been active here, but has been updating his site/blog? :? most importantly, is this MOD user friendly for the not so forum savvy users?? I believe its easymod compatible... It's a nice mod...
