I think I had your same fears and I backed up everything just in case but my fears were unfounded. I just updated late Sunday night from 2.0.6 to 2.0.15. I was using Cpanel and just uploaded the new files (with the selection to overwrite existing files checked) from the expanded update file from the...

I don't understand the question. Why is it being redirected to another address? Your url should point directly to the image you are wanting to display not to one that will redirect.

It is hard to tell from the posts but I think they may be wanting to transfer the existing board to one now hosted on their own domain. Wouldn't they be abe to: 1. create a phpBB on their domain named /forum; 2. create a full backup in the admin panel, 3. change the domain name and the script path i...

And make sure you don't have any illegal characters in your image filename as Lumpy pointed out to me in another thread ... I had a similar issue and it was because I had an "&" in the filename such as b&w1.jpg That will not post. A simple check to see if it is the filename, copy t...

The cpanel has an option to delete the sql db. I would delete it just so the db name stays consistent between the old and the new. That may not be necessary but I was thinking the old db would have references to that name. But you are the php expert, not I. But I am trying to learn as I go.

My webhost server is Linux based also. I feel like a dunce after you gave me the solution, not that I didn't know about the latest version of php disallowing the use of the &, but because I didn't notice that all 5 problem photos had that in common. As for the caps it would be primarily changing...

Thanks. I actually try not to use spaces but add underscores where a space would be, but I do have the & and that is probably the answer since all the photos not posting have it. I wasn't aware that the Caps was an issue. It will take me awhile to rename those folders to a lower case but I'll do...

I am experiencing a similar issue to the one described curently BUT slightly different. My webhost server experienced a crash recently and I had to re-upload my entire website.
