Problem with URL BBCode

I have done some modding to my forum and I realized today that he BBCode for URLs does not work anymore. A post with an url gets inserted in the database like this: [url=http://www.phpbb.com/:6cgy574u]Visit phpBB![/url:6cgy574u]. So that works like it should, right? The post gets outputted like this...

Re: Making links with append_sid

My problem is that when on a page outside the root folder I get this url website.com/folder/privacy-policy.php instead of website.com/privacy-policy.php but the faq page works. If I write out the both urls in plan text the {U_FAQ} looks like this http://www.website.com/faq.php and {U_PRIVACY} like t...

Re: Making links with append_sid

privacy-policy.php is locacted in the root directory, same as the faq.php and it calls for a privacy.html in the template directory. It does not have an own language setup, should it be needed? This is how privacy-policy.php looks like: <?php define('IN_PHPBB', true); $phpbb_root_path = (defined('PH...

Making links with append_sid

I have a page with the privacy policy of my site. I am trying to make a link with append_sid so I wrote this in functions.php 'U_FAQ' => append_sid("{$phpbb_root_path}faq.$phpEx"), 'U_PRIVACY' => append_sid("{$phpbb_root_path}privacy-policy.$phpEx"), When I look at the urls I get this meaning the pr...

Re: SQL leaving one result out

Thanks, it works now :)

I posted it here cause I thought it was more of a general SQL or php question rather than a question related to the mod. But I will think about that the next time I post :)

Help with error messages

The default for the forum when triggering errors is that the error message is loading on a new page with the message_body.html. However, during login errors there is a code snippet in functions making them load on the same page. Like when a user enters wrong logion information. In functions.php // S...

Whats up with $phpEx?

I tried changing include($phpbb_root_path . 'includes/functions_display.' . $phpEx); to include($phpbb_root_path . 'includes/functions_display.php'); just for fun and as far as I could see the page was still working. So what's the reason behind adding $phpEx instead of just php? Has it to do with se...

Redirect after login

Hello,

I need help with some small modding. Anyone knows how to change so that the user after login gets redirected to the profile page (memberlist_view) instead of to the forum index page?

Thanks for any help!

Remove Terms of use

Anyone had any luck with removing the "Terms of use" page that shows before the registration details when you click to register? I don't want to edit the text or to remove just the text. I want to remove the whole page so that I come directly to the page where to enter the registration details. Than...

Re: Information - No suitable matches were found.

Ah yes, thanks for that. However I cant seem to find where to do changes for the "Information" row. It looks like this row turns up at other place as well such as when updating something in the ucp for example. Any ideas of where I will be able to mod this?
