Re: Hide a single special rank from Member list?

Open memberlist.php and do the following: Search for: if (isset($cp_row['row']) && sizeof($cp_row['row'])) Above that, paste: // Hide specific rank $rank_title = $rank_img = $rank_img_src = ''; get_user_rank($row['user_rank'], (($user_id == ANONYMOUS) ? false : $row['user_posts']), $rank_title, $ran...

Re: is there a way to hardcode a bbcode ?

There always is, but I wouldn't recommend it. And only the custom BBCodes are stored in a MySQL table.

Have a look at includes/message_parser.php and includes/bbcode.php.

Re: Anyone have a BBcode for Google Vids for 3.07?

In your post you used the whole script as the input, not the URL or video ID.

Valid example:

Code: Select all

[googlevid]http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=5355374476580235299#[/googlevid]

Re: Anyone have a BBcode for Google Vids for 3.07?

The code looks good to me and I just tested it with IE5.5-8, no problem here.

You could send me the address to your forum or a screenshot of the detailed error and I'll have a look at it.

{SIMPLETEXT} and {INTTEXT} don't support these characters:

Re: temporarily turning off phpBB 3.x registrations

Open includes/ucp/ucp_register.php and go to Line 35 . Search for: trigger_error('UCP_REGISTER_DISABLE'); Replace with (I made it XHTML compliant): die('<div style="text-align: center"><br /><br /><br /> <table style="background: #f0eee4; text-align: center" border="0" cellpadding="10" cellspacing="...

Re: Aligning Images within Text

Just take advantage of the float property, but it might not be an ideal solution for unexperienced users or if you wrap a spoiler around it. //Well here's the solution that makes sense. Usage [imgright]{URL}[/imgright] Replacement: <div style="float:right"><img src="{URL}" alt="" /></div> Example: [...

Re: Custom BBCodes

Whatever the input is, it will remain as a string, since the quotation mark will be encoded too.

Re: Custom BBCodes

We need to avoid using {TEXT} within an HTML tag like that. There are ways to exploit the tag, so it executes arbitrary code. I can't see how my code would be vulnerable to XSS attacks, since the characters from the user input will be encoded. If there's someone who knows how to exploit it, please ...

It would be helpful to know the URL of your board.

There'll always be people with old browsers, I guess we have to deal with it up to a certain point.

Re: Custom BBCodes

Here's my JavaScript YouTube BBCode which will grab the video ID from whatever the input is. I decided to go with the simple regexp pattern, since it'll do just as well as the way longer one I had at first. BBCode usage: [youtube]{TEXT}[/youtube] HTML replacement: <script type="text/javascript">var ...
