Re: Topic limit

Maybe try explaining the complete story of what you're trying to do. What's the whole idea of stopping someone posting? Most sites WANT people to post.

Re: Topic limit

There is a permission 'can reply to topics' that you can set to no.

If you want to regularly do this for different people the simplest way is to make a group that cannot post in a forum and then simply put people in or out of that group when you want.

Re: Login allowed only for admins and founders

I'm not an SQL guru but could you run a database query to deactivate all accounts that were not mods or founders? Easily reversible if you could.

Re: Login allowed only for admins and founders

You could set all of the permissions so they can do nothing other than login and see the posts. No access to other profiles, PMs, email, reporting, posting etc. So despite being able to log in they can't actually do anything. Not much difference between that and not being able to log in.. There is n...

Its gonna be complicated and confusing topic If i say the reason why im doing this. No it's not. Everyone else that asks for help on here is more than happy to give full and complete explanations of what they want. You're extremely tight with information which just makes your topics way more confus...

Re: Must a User Divulge His Email Address?

But some people are really paranoid about divulging their email address. It's not many. Everyone has an email address. Many people even have a 'junk' one specifically for cases like this where they want to just register for something. One minute's work and they've got a throw-away gmail account to ...

Re: bot limit

Deactivating bots in the admin does not stop them coming to your site. it just means they are no longer controlled by the bots group. They will still come to the domain. Do a web search for robots.txt files and stopping bots by .htaccess if you want to stop them coming to the domain itself. Note tha...

Re: translates the message

The default disable text (this board is currently disable etc etc) is translated already in the Spanish language pack.

But for a free text box where you can write anything you want, it's up to the site owner to write it.
