Re: Facebook login

Seems a bit silly to custom code something that is available as an extension you can just upload. I'd be curious about this as well. I tried installing Social Login (as well as a Paypal mod), but neither would show up in extensions tab with other extensions I've installed. If it's in the right folde...

Re: No access to ACP

Yes. It's only needed during installation and then it needs to be deleted or the board won't be accessible by anyone else.

Re: No access to ACP

Then it may be a server issue where it's not giving you a cookie so it doesn't know you're an admin. Reinstalling is a quick and easy thing to try. You only a new config.php file and the /install folder. Everything else can stay. Then drop the database tables and try it again. If that still doesn't ...

Re: No access to ACP

How did you install it?
This is often characteristic of a hosts 1-click installation.

Re: Cookie consent notice error message

Could you download the version you have again just to check it's in there? If not, please contact the author. If it is then my guess is that file hadn't uploaded.

Re: Cookie consent notice error message

Best bet is to update it. You only have to upload a new version.

If you flick back to British English you'll see what the text should be and then you can find that in the language/en folder.I'm guessing it's in the common.php file but I'm not sure.

Re: Cookie consent notice error message

Is it up to date?
It looks like you're missing the language string that should be in there.

Re: Moving posts and posters

You cannot merge databases (easily).

You would probably be better off dumping the new site and moving the whole of the old one.

Why not post up screenshots of what you're seeing and blur out what you don't want us to see?

Re: Cache from index

Maybe it's better if you explain why you need the cache clear option there in the first place. [I can't remember the last time I cleared my cache - 2 years ago maybe!]

Re: Where the database resides? Bacup related

1) Yes. The board is in 2 parts. The phpBB folder contains all of the files that control how it looks and works. The database contains all of the users, posts and forums etc. The database IS your board. You can remake the site without the original files but you must have the database. 2) Yes most de...
