This needs to be NEVER. If there's a yes permission from the RU, that will not stop it.

Re: need some group permissions help please

You don't need to add in permissions to view and post. They'll get those from the registered users group that they're already in (and will stay in).

You just need to set NEVER permissions for the things you don't want them to do.

People are so used to signing up for things these days, if they want to ask a question, they'll register.

Re: Link in New Window

Link underlining is usually controlled by the style css.
Which style are you using?

Might be worth editing the topic title to mention underlines so you get style coders in to address that.

Please fill out the Support Request Template and post it back here to enable us to assist you better. Turn off all of those extensions first. You need to make the site before you know what extensions you'll need. Also what do the hosts say about how slow it is? And you don't need to clear the cache ...

Re: Increased spam activity for meettomy.site from compromised accounts

They would have to be monumentally dedicated sleeper accounts. One had registered in 2016. I think the others were 2019, 2020 and 2022.

Every site has hundreds of accounts that register for a look around but never post. They also all posted exactly the same spam message.

But it's stopped 4 compromised accounts from posting already and it's a 'hands off' solution as it's a continuous rolling check. Works brilliantly.
