Re: Forum Disabled ?

They just happen to use the software that we make and support. We have no control over sites that people run.

If it's the site I just found on google, they have a facebook page and a website with a contact page. You should ask there.

Re: Best/easiest way to downgrade to previous version after failed upgrade

We are helping you. It's an error I've certainly never seen before and judging by other posters, they haven't seen before either. A search of the boards doesn't pull up anything like it. We know the software is fine because lots of other people update with no problems. Therefore it makes sense that ...

Re: No notification email for new registrations

Notification settings.
Each one can be an email and an on-board notification.

Click notifications top right. There's a settings link in there.

Re: No notification email for new registrations

You're not supposed to get one unless you have account activation on 'by admin' and you have the email notification ticked.

Re: Best/easiest way to downgrade to previous version after failed upgrade

Did you do an offline test update first?

The one topic you've linked to has a user that hasn't come back for 2 weeks so the assumption is they got it to work.

Re: Multiple DB errors updating to 3.2.2

It's worth remembering that plenty of people are updating and installing just fine with the same files you're using.

If it's not working for you it's much more likely to be a problem on your side with either file uploads or server config.

Re: Best/easiest way to downgrade to previous version after failed upgrade

You probably didn't clear the cache so you were looking at cached pages and processes rather than the new ones.

Delete everything in the /cache folder (except index.htm and htaccess) and also the /store/install_config.php file and it should be fine.

Re: Making a link for unread posts

Not a link extension. A link forum

Create a forum
Type: link
Make the link the one to the unread posts.
Position it at the top of the index page list.
Easy, no coding and a nice big link they can't miss!

Re: Configure phpBB as read-only (with login and private messages access)

Everyone is in the registered user group.

Any NEVER permission set on that group will stop everyone doing it.

Re: Making a link for unread posts

If you wanted to do it without any coding you could make a link forum and put it at the top of the index list (like the one on the index here for the area51 dev site). Just make the link for it the same one as in the quicklinks menu. Although surely once people know it's there they don't need to be ...

Re: Maximum numbers of post per day

@KevC: We tried Q&A before, it doesn't work period. It does. You just have to choose the right kind of questions. Doesn't need any maintenance at all apart from when they beat your question you come up with another one. I make a change to mine about 3-4 times a year. That's low maintenance. Newly r...

Restore the back ups you should have made before you started.

To be fair it's not long since you posted. It's not like there's a 5 page topic with multiple things being tried and failing.

Updated using the auto update package 3.2.0 > 3.2.2
I suspect you just don't have fully up to date files.

You don't need to use the auto update if you didn't edit any core files.

Re: auto log out

You'll have to hope someone writes a converter. phpBB-seo was a fork that we didn't make (and recommended people didn't use) so we don't know much about it, sorry.
