Re: Hidden/Password protected boards

You cannot access forums through the admin panel in that way. They would need to be forums on the index like any other but you can set the permissions such that only the admin group can see them. If you wanted an area private and separate from the rest of the site you cold just do a second installat...

Re: Remember me/cookie

Yes your cookie info looks right. If it's wrong generally the problem affects everyone.

Logging out will not remove the current cookie. They will need to do that in their browser or click the link at the bottom right of your index page (next to the 'team' link).

Re: How to make it so read threads go to the latest post upon visiting?

and clicking the title within a thread would take you to the first post. Outside links to the last unread post, inside links to the first post. That's an extra unnecessary click though. You can do both from the forum index already. Perhaps this is an issue of that template in particular. I don't kn...

Re: How to make it so read threads go to the latest post upon visiting?

You would need to request an extension for that. If clicking the topic title takes you to the last post, it makes it more complicated to get to the first post if you need to. Are the left icon supposed to work that way? It may be style dependent but on prosilver the icon to the left goes to the firs...

Re: How to make it so read threads go to the latest post upon visiting?

That just links back to this topic.

As I said before, the topic title takes you to the first post and the big icon on the forum view page takes you to the last unread post. Not sure what's tricky about that.

This too

Doesn't matter what the link looks like, it automatically parses it straight in to the post and displays whatever you linked.

Re: Create permission for non-moderator users to delete own topics

We see too many forums where a user gets annoyed about something and edits all their posts to one character. Even well meaning people who think their issue has been solved do it on here, ignoring the fact that the topic then serves as a resource to someone else with the same problem. This would be a...

Re: Hidden/Password protected boards

What's the bigger picture of what you're trying to do?

It's easy to make, for example, a VIP or admin area that the 'normal' users cannot see but specific people can.

Make the question
Please email <address> for the registration code

Or if it's a closed club they should already know the address or you send it out in a club newsletter.

Re: Removing Registration Option (Not just disabling it)

You can even leave it on and set the antispam Q&A to ask for a code. They email you to get the code, you send it back, they can register.
