Re: Check for if user is viewing their own thread

Yes, thanks, this works:

Code: Select all

<!-- IF S_USERNAME == TOPIC_AUTHOR -->...<!-- ENDIF -->

Check for if user is viewing their own thread

Hi,

in the viewtopic_body.html I want to check if the currently logged in user is viewing a thread that they started.

Is there a tag already built in for this, a mod, or some pointers on how I would do this check?

Re: Mailchimp integration

Eh, I hadn't even thought of that.

But an automated solution would suit my needs!

Is an email sent one a user is activated?

Hey,

phpBB 3.0.7-PL1

I have tested on my forum registering. Once I registered I got on email saying please activate. I clicked on that link to activate, and was able to then log in. But I didn't get a "welcome, you're activated" email. Would such an email normally get sent?

Regards,
Eoin

Mailchimp integration

Hi,

has anyone integrated Mailchimp with phpBB?

In other words, when someone registers on your forum, they're also added to your Mailchimp mailing list.

Re: In ACP, no forums listed in "Select a forum"

Fix: changed /cache folder permissions back to chmod 777 (had been reset by a server change).

Moved my single forum out of a "Category" in ACP/Manage forums to match my intended structure.

Thanks to narqelion for the help.

Re: In ACP, no forums listed in "Select a forum"

Aha, interesting. Seems like that bug is around for several months already now. It seems like I need to 'set permissions manually' to fix this issue. Could you tell me exactly which settings I need to change to "bandaid" this bug? Will a fix allow me again to split topics (filling in the Select a fo...

Re: [3.0.x] Tweaks for large forums

I'm getting a slow query on the generation of the list of topics (phpBB 3.0.7-PL1). The query is using filesort. It's resulting in several-second page loads of the view forum page. This is similar to fishpant's report earlier in this thread. The slow query is: SELECT t.topic_id FROM phpbb3_topics t ...

Re: [split from] Discuss phpBB 3.0.7 released

As far as I can tell, the two plugins I have installed are Anti Bot Question and phpBB SEO. Yes, I have the entire folder backed up. If I swapped this backup folder for my live folder I see a couple of potential issues, what do you think? Those are the loss of avatars uploaded since I updated, and t...

Ouch, you're right, I didn't read the option.

How would you suggest going from here?

Re: [split from] Discuss phpBB 3.0.7 released

I have the same error after upgrading from 3.0.5 to 3.0.7-PL1. I used the automatic upgrade package, downloading the "latest stable" version of the update package. As far as I can tell, the only file that was added during the upgrade was feed.php. Any suggestions on how to fix this error below? Also...
