Re: Convertor - relative path rpoblem

Thought it was. There is a posting.php but not a post.php, the thing that puzzles me is I have done this conversion once from the same folder :?:

Convertor - relative path rpoblem

Right I am trying to convert phorum5 to phpBB3, I did a trial ok but now coming to the real thing I can't seem to get the relative path for the forums right. The old one is http://www.bcss.org.uk/forum/ and the new one http://www.bcss.org.uk/foruma/ which I would have thought would have meant ../for...

ameeck wrote:Try clicking Resynchronise statistics on the ACP index. The user count still might be different, because in phpBB3, inactive users are not counted in.
Doh, thank you should have thought of that myself.

Custom Header

I am customising Prosilver_SE and although I am fairly happy with what I have achieved so far (http://www.bcss.org.uk/foruma/index.php) I would like to take it a stage further and every thing I have tried turns into a dogs dinner. The attached image shows a mock up of what I want to do, the menu is ...

User count.

Following the importation of the forum database, I notice that phpbb is only showing 2 members, being the test registrations I made, anything I can do to get it right?

Cheers Bill

Re: Topics and Attachments (not attached).

Alright think I have half found the answer, but it's not working because it appears only the attachment data was imported not the actual attachment :( I wonder where the actual files are stored :?:

Topics and Attachments (not attached).

Found another issue with my upgrade from a Phorum board, all the posts and forums have come across no problem and so have the attachments except they are no longer appearing in the posts, just the phorum code, any one got any thoughts on how I can restore the link between the two again.

Cheers

Conversion, members in limbo

I hope this is the right place. I have just done a trial conversion from Phorum 5 to phpbb which was fairly successful, in that I have all my forums, posts and members etc. However apart from the fact all the embedded have been left behind and linked have been broken, despite all my members being in...

Re: ReIMG Image Resizer

Help just installed this on my board and it only sort of works: http://www.bcss.org.uk/foruma/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=1#p7 Yes it resizes and opens but that's it I have no ACP settings etc, I tried automod to install but it failed, so I manually installed everything but it's not working right, my eyes h...

Verifying Members

Not sure how feasible this is. I setting up a board for a small charity (about 3,000 members), the board will be part public/part members only, what I need is to be able verify whether people are members or not on signing up to the board. What I thought was if they had to enter 2 identifiers on the ...

Background & Custom Page Issues

A "friend" has left me in the lurch with a couple of problems with a phpBB installation/customisation, the first, I have some stray text top left hand corner and a missing logo (BCSS Home is the alt text), what file do I need to edit to sort this out. http://gasteria.org.uk/phpbb_tst/index.php?sid=e...
