Re: Mass account creation?

One other simple method of course is to let the users do it. You could set up the Q&A antispam to ask them for the 'codeword' you're going to email them. Then just send them all an email with the link to the reg page and that code word. It'll only take them a minute to create the account and only t...

Mass account creation?

Basically I have a large database of emails and other contact information. I need to know if it's possible to create a script that would create phpBB accounts using those emails, and then possibly invite them to the site. Obviously I don't expect any pre-made scripts to be available for this kind of...

Re: Whoisonline outside phpBB root

Ahhh that makes more sense. :) Edit: Also seems to work just fine! Thanks for the help! Code posted for reference: default: //Start Amicitia WhoIsOnline Mod switch($row['session_page']){ case '../index.php': $location = 'Viewing Home Page'; $location_url = append_sid('../index.php'); break; case '.....

Re: Whoisonline outside phpBB root

echoing $row['session_page'] returns '../application.php'

Code: Select all

	case 'application':
			$location = 'Viewing the Application';
			$location_url = "../application.php";
		break;
that's already the location url... should it be the case for the switch?

Re: Whoisonline outside phpBB root

Hmm for some reason throwing the echo in did the trick, got these arrays back... (me) Array ( [0] => viewonline [1] => viewonline ) (the test user) Array ( [1] => ) :shock: not exactly the desired result. edit: unfortunately I need to get to class, I'll check on this thread again in an hour or so.

Re: Whoisonline outside phpBB root

Not that big of a deal I suppose, just means I have to keep my custom refresh limiters in place to prevent users from being online forever if they leave their browser open. In any case I'm thus far unable to get the $on_page array to echo anywhere visible. :/ Edit: switched to a die() statement, got...

Re: Whoisonline outside phpBB root

I'll presume you mean viewonline.php, and I'll get on that part and get back to you. Also, it seems that $user->session_begin(FALSE) won't reset the page you're on on refresh, but will reset your online status. (ie "less than a minute ago") Is there a way to prevent this as well? edit: print_r($on_p...

Re: Whoisonline outside phpBB root

How would I echo that out? In the function or on the page the user is viewing?

Additionally, as I edited in before, it seems that $user->session_begin(FALSE) is no longer preventing the autorefresh from reseting online status... I'm not sure why or what changed.

Re: Whoisonline outside phpBB root

session_page for that user: ../application.php Should that be what I use in viewonline? Edit: There's now some evidence that one of the iframes is reseting online status for guest users, I was under the impression this had been fixed with the session(FALSE) but this would not seem to be the case. I'...

Whoisonline outside phpBB root

I've spent some time searching these boards and I've been unable to find a solution thus far. I'm looking to add whoisonline status tracking to pages that are outside my root folder. They already have the necessary integration of sessions and language files. I have added this case to viewonline.php,...

Re: Add Bot -> user_id null in query?

hmmm I suppose that could be fixed by setting the script to copy username to loginname for any user being created within the group for bots?

Re: Add Bot -> user_id null in query?

I'm going to dig up the function today, and update this post with the function itself and my installed mods, so we can try and figure out why user_id is pulling null for this. It's very odd because new users are being created just fine, and I would presume they're using the same function as add bot....

Re: iframes and who is online.

Edit: Seems to be working, but I had to change my global include a little bit, and now the individual pages that I want to show session data have to have $user->session_begin(); but that's ok.

How might I add custom pages to the tracker?
