Re: Multiple forums with a shared user database

Ohw, I just found a solution.

I install 1 installation of phpbb on the main domain example.com and then just port the sub1.example.com domain to example.com/viewforum.php?f=1 without redirection.

Just thought of it >.<

Well thank you anyway :)

Multiple forums with a shared user database

Hello, I am making multiple forums on multiple subdomains. Like: sub1.example.com sub2.example.com sub3.example.com Each with its own phpbb installation. But what I want is that if you register at sub2.example.com you can use the same username and pass to login to sub1.example.com and sub3.example.c...

Re: Redirect registration change to other url

I think it's easier to let people register through phpBB.
Just change the styling a bit if needed to make it look like the main site.

EDIT: I'm looking into the redirection thingy atm

Re: How to write code runs once per session

Instead of putting the code i gave you in overall_header.html put it to viewtopic_body.html after:

Code: Select all

<!-- INCLUDE overall_header.html -->
that way it should only work in viewtopic.php

Re: Multiple forums using the same set of file

Just open YOURBOARDNAME_config.php with notepad.
And in PMA just make seperate databases or 1 database and use diffrent prefixes.

Re: How to write code runs once per session

Try using it in the template in overall_header.html in the <head> section, then this would be the complete code: <!-- PHP -->   if (!isset($_SESSION['POPUPEXEC'])||!$_SESSION['POPUPEXEC']){     $msg='Your message goes here';     echo '<script type="text/javascript">alert(\''.$msg.'\');</script>';   ...

Re: CODE for latest topics on external page

Try replacing: echo  "<tr valign='top'><td><font face=\"Verdana, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif\" size=\"1\"><font color=\"#FFCC00\"><b><a href=\"$urlPath/viewtopic.php?f=$row[forum_id]&t=$row[topic_id]&p=$row[post_id]#p$row[post_id]\" TARGET=\"_blank\">" .     $row["topic_title"] .     "</a></td></fo...

Re: Multiple forums using the same set of file

Open common.php and find: require($phpbb_root_path . 'config.' . $phpEx);  Replace it with: if(isset($_GET['name'])){      $forum=$_GET['name'];      if(!isset($_SESSION['CURRENT_BOARD_BROWSING'])||!$_SESSION['CURRENT_BOARD_BROWSING']){         $_SESSION['CURRENT_BOARD_BROWSING']=$_GET['name'];     ...
