Re: Soft 404's Webmaster Tools

Also, I have been searching and searching for a list of url query string parameters. What does the ?p= relate to? Does the p= denote a link to a particular post in the thread? Is there a list of what each parameter type is for? To elaborate on what Steve said, the number in p=[number] is the post_i...

Re: Soft 404's Webmaster Tools

Works fine for me. Yes the page loads fine, but why is it showing a soft 404 in webmaster tools? Also, do you have any answer to my other question. What does the p= in the url stand for? Is there a list of what different variables mean? I know an f= in the url means forum = id#, but not sure about ...

Soft 404's Webmaster Tools

I am trying to track down and find out what is causing soft 404 errors to appear in my Google Webmaster tools. Here is an example of one of the URLs throwing this error http://www.dadsdivorce.com/father_divorce_forum/viewtopic.php?p=231973 Any ideas on how to fix this? Also, I have been searching an...

Re: Iphone Crashes On MCP - Ban IP

Does it also happen when you use a computer? Do you have a lot of IPs banned? By the way this is largely pointless especially if it's to combat spam as there are much simpler ways to do it. Yes there are quite a few IPs that are banned. No, it does not crash on a browser. Side note: What are your s...

Iphone Crashes On MCP - Ban IP

I am having issues with the iphone browser crashing on the moderator control panel for ban by ip address. Everything else seems to work fine. The iphone safari browser loads the page partially and then closes the page. Any ideas on how to fix this? I did a fresh install last week with 3.09. I also u...

Re: Icons Not Working On Blackberry

On a lot of cell phones, including my HTC, the browser has settings that will allow images to show. Not that this is your problem. Do those images show in other styles? Blackberry is one of the leading cell phones. It shouldn't have these problems. Check your browser settings. I ended up uninstalli...

Re: Reinstall From Scratch

Help would be greatly appreciated on this issue. Is my database too large and php.ini is causing the timeout? Is there a way to speed up my database/forum so it does not time out? As stated previously this works on my local machine copy of my forum/database... it is just extremely slow... like 4-5 m...

Re: Icons Not Working On Blackberry

Any ideas as to why it would show up on other mobile browsers, firefox, safari, etc... but not show up on blackberry? If I change my theme in the ucp to subsilver the icons display properly. I attempted to go to the ACP and change the prosilver image set to the subsivler image set, but that did not ...

Re: Reinstall From Scratch

In an attempt to further trouble shoot my issues I have installed a backup of my forum's database on my local machine. I then copied all the forum files and installed them on my local machine. The site is working on my local machine, but extremely slow . Anytime I click on a new page it takes 4-5 mi...

Re: Reinstall From Scratch

It is working now because I uploaded backed up cache from our old board. However, these are 3.07-PL1 cached files, not cache files from the new 3.09 version of the board.

I will have to look into those errors... How did you pull that up?

Re: Reinstall From Scratch

The cache folder is set to chmod 775. I know the files should rebuild on the fly, but they were not. It would stall around file 33... previously we had 328 cache files. I believe this is was what was causing the "read timeout" errors. The only way I could get the site to work was to upload all of th...

Re: Reinstall From Scratch

Thanks for all the information. I just did as you instructed and all went well. I do have one issue.... When the cache is purged the whole site starts throwing read timeouts. I waited for about 40 minutes expecting the site to eventually rebuild all of the cache (previously there were 328 cache file...

Re: Reinstall From Scratch

Doesn't seem like there are any unusual features. I put a full install of 3.07 on my localhost and it seems to be identical.

Thanks,

Nate
