Re: [TOOL] Import Users

However, I need to know what format the .csv has to be for the plugin to work. I keep getting "No Username found on line 1: line skipped.", and that for all lines. How should the csv format look like? Many formats are accepted. Common point is that this needs to be CSV! For example: "Giles314","AbC...

Re: [TOOL] Import Users

Will there be a version for phpBB 3.1.3? In short: Not by me. In detail: I had updated and maintained the previous version because I needed the function. But now I have imported my user database. I no longer need this. I am working on several other open Source projects not related to phpBB so I hav...

Re: [TOOL] Import Users

What I understand from your report is that the files are not at the right place but at a place that looks very much like the place they should be. Check for example for an upper/lower case issue or a one level directory error.

Re: [TOOL] Import Users

I call archive the zip file. The issue may come from the webhosting tool (I know nothing about it) that does not keep the file organisation. So you may have to recreate manually the file organization on the server. So unzip on your local computer the content of the root directory of the zip file. Th...

Re: [TOOL] Import Users

Hello, I see only 2 hypothesis: - Wrong installation: what you have to copy at the place you have described is the content of the root directory of the archive (keeping the file tree). And you have to upload it to the server if you are working on a local copy. - Wrong admin page looking: You must go...

Re: [TOOL] Import Users

Select “Import Users” from the Add Module drop-down menu and click “Add module”. Then click “Enable” on the Module. Browse to ACP > Users & Groups > Import Users and confirm install! I don't see the "Import Users" module, not know why not. Difficult to have an idea of what you did wrong? Did you ac...

Re: [TOOL] Import Users

Hi, Parse error: syntax error, unexpected T_STATIC, expecting T_OLD_FUNCTION or T_FUNCTION or T_VAR or '}' in /mnt/115/sdb/e/6/mywebsite/phpBB3/includes/acp/acp_import_users.php on line 291 Usually this error comes from using PHP 4 instead of PHP 5 (the keyword static is not recognized by PHP 4). Bu...

Re: [TOOL] Import Users

So, I google it, and what I found is https://www.phpbb.com/community/viewtopic.php?f=65&t=1494875, which seems the more recent post I can find... The most recent update of this convertor is here Please could you tell me if this tool is stable ? As far as I know: yes. I fixed all known anomalies and...

Re: [TOOL] Import Users

I believe the simplest way to track your error is to move the first line of your file to the end and to test with the second line being now the first one.

Re: [TOOL] Import Users

My best guess is that your imported user file has a first line that is different from the other lines. You may have tested the column numbers for the first line (the only one that is verified by the import tool in test mode) but as the next lines are different, the tool gets the username from a wron...

Re: [TOOL] Import Users

Sorry for the inappropriate repeat of acp/ But for the line number I have verified that this should be around line 450. The difference probably means that you have not used the last version (1.2.4). I am not sure that the last version will fix the problem but it will help to talk about the same thin...

Re: [TOOL] Import Users

Laura, Importing passwords implies they are encrypted in a way compatible with phpBB (MD5 encrypted). If they are not compatible they don't work: there is no chance that the user can enter a password that is accepted, they have to follow the password recovery procedure. Note that implementing SSO sh...

Hopefully you may solve your prob...

Re: [TOOL] Import Users

Simonishe, it seems something is going wrong in your user checking procedure. To get more details on that error you should add in file <phpBBroot>/includes/acp/acp/import_users.php at line 450: if ($conflict) die($conflict); Note that you should find at previous lines: $conflict = validate_data($dat...
