Re: Recreate search index? HOW??

I have finally tested it with 50% and it works properly. Now there is one more thing I would like to clear up. For example I am searching for the plate number SO-010-KH but there are some similar plate numbers such as SO-010-ZS and SO-010-SW. So all the three are similar because each of them contain...

Re: Recreate search index? HOW??

First, I set it to 50% and it didn't work. Second, I set it to 99% and it did not work again. I purged the cache in the both case but nothing. Do you advice to set it for example to 20% and then to rebuild it, i.e. to delete and to create the index again? *Oyabun1 I am going to do that and let you k...

Re: Recreate search index? HOW??

Lumpy,

It was worth to try but it does not help.
Data retrieval is an important part of every board.
However, could we contact someone in particular who worked on this part.
I would really like to master the advanced search option as it is extremely useful?

Re: Recreate search index? HOW??

Ok this is what I would like to be able to do: One part of my forum is not used for discussion but every topic presents one plate number (City) - Company, for ex BG-601-FC (Beograd) - Cola . The plate numbers are not repeating but obviously the names of the cities and companies are. Then I go to adv...

Re: Content of my board appearing in Google search results?

Hi, I had the same issues last year and this is the complete steps that you should follow: 1) robots.txt file - uploaded to the server 2) ACP => General => Spiders/Robots - Deactivated 3) ACP => Users and Groups => Groups' permissions => Guests - all set to NEVER 4) ACP => Users and Groups => Groups...

Re: Recreate search index? HOW??

Hi, I am also here on this one. I set the common word threshold to 0%. Now I have two choices when I go to "Maintenance > Search Index" and I get these options that are in my screenshot. Should I first "Delete index" and after that "Create index" ore opposite? Thanks,

Inquiry

Hi,

Looking for mod that can do the following:
If after some amount of time no one has answered to a topic there will be some action (notify, move etc. topic).

I have found this so far: https://www.phpbb.com/customise/db/mod/post_expire/ but the mod seems to be abandoned.

Happy New Year!

Re: Free mods vs paid mods in 2014

Of course we are not customers but members and if phpBB starts monetizing its products we will inevitably become potential customers. We have to admit that phpBB team has been established a good and unique balance between the quality of products (phpBB platform by itself, mods, etc.) and services (s...

Re: Free mods vs paid mods in 2014

Hi, I fully agree. For example I have a mod that I use and it is unbelievable how extremely useful it is but I would need it one more option on it that I am not able to get. I am willing to pay for it but I do not the opportunity because that option is not offered in phpBB. Your model for paying sou...

Re: Preventing search eng. for caching any of my board conte

Hello guys :D

I just want to say that we haven't had any leakage of info so far.
We will start filling our board with the company information that are not so crucial.
If someone has some more suggestions about how to make stricter board protection please tell.

Regards,
Cosmo ;)
