I need help deleting multiple notifications in one shot

My board has been hacked and I received a bunch of notification requests for registration. They're obviously bogus, spambot type registration attempts. Is there a way to delete all of them at once and empty my notification folder? So far I've been deleting them one at a time but that is tedious as h...

Re: Changing from website to email for sorting members

Thanks BRF.
I didn't know "find a member" could be clicked on to open those search parameters.
Works perfectly.
Thanks to all

Re: Changing from website to email for sorting members

I thank both of you for your feedback but I'm guessing this extension thing is beyond my ability.

Is there any way to search the members area by email address as an admin?

Thanks again

Changing from website to email for sorting members

Please forgive me for not knowing the proper nomenclature but when I look at the member (table, form, CP or ???) it has the following titles/columns; ................................username, rank, posts, website, joined and last active. The only one which can't be used for sorting is website. Email...

Re: How to hire php help

You could always post your problem on here - there is a wealth of knowledge and expertise available for free, and there are very few situations that have not been seen before. Thanks David but having noobs on my forum asking very basic questions (without doing searches or reading) is annoying so I'...

How to hire php help

I hope asking this question in general discussion is not considered a violation. I truly have no intent to spam or otherwise offend, I just have no idea where to turn for help. I Googled php repair and pretty much got nothing. I've learned we're not supposed to offer work or advertise work here, so ...

Re: How did you choose your host?

Has anybody tried Forumatic? They look interesting because they seem to focus on phpbb but I'm definitely leery about dealing with companies who don't list a phone number. My site/forum is a hobby so I know nothing about php. I just want it to run and not have to worry about learning php just to upd...

Re: Malicious or infected files

You're probably right Robert but I've got 5 domains/websites hosted by them so I want to try to avoid moving everything to a new host.

Is there any way I can "clean" these files without having to rebuild the board from the ground up?

Or any other suggestions?

Thanks

Malicious or infected files

My webhost, I Page, told me I have malicious or infected files in my message board and they shut down my site claiming it's for the safety of everyone on their shared server. Somebody else put my message board together so I don't know anything about phpBB except I was told that is what my message bo...

Anybody use Teamviewer?

I am looking for help involving a walk-through using Teamviewer. I rarely do anything with PHP so my skills/ability/knowledge are zero for even the simplest things. The things I'm trying to do; add a strike-through button, and offer multiple font choices (on my posting page). And update to the newes...

Extracting user/member email addresses

Hi All,
I'm trying to collect the email addresses of the members of my board to put them in an external table. Is there a way to do this as a list? Or maybe an extraction to Excel?
Thanks

Re: Words in Posts Turned Into Links

Advice about title taken :D I went looking and it's not just in my replies, I'm seing it throughout the board and the ones I've seen are all single underlines but they're all links to ads. So how do I determine if it's my computer or something my hosting service is doing? Thanks to all for replying ...

Words in Posts Turned Into Links

I've noticed when posting replies to my BB that some words end up becoming links. I haven't established a pattern, in terms of if it's only certain words, but the most recent was the word "work". Is this some kind of spam or virus issue or something else altogether? Any and all help appreciated. Tha...

Re: Buttons, links, attachments in posting

Thanks Steve but I've tried that and it keeps showing the attachment opened up (I'm testing it using preview in post reply) instead of showing just a link. I'm trying to get the image to open in a separate window when a user clicks on the link.
