Re: [BETA] Medal System MOD 0.21.0

If everything you listed in the first post is in working order I think it's great as it is. What exactly is preventing this MOD from becoming a release candidate?

Re: [Release] Terayon 4.0.18 (phpBB 3.0.10)

I am adding a MOD to my page. This MOD adds a link to the menu bar. However, I cannot find the code for the menu bar. Normally I would think the menu bar code is in overall_header.html but I cannot seem to find it. Can anyone direct me to where the code for the menu bar is for this style?

Re: Basic steps to writing a MOD (necessary files)

Excellent, I will tinker with this and re-edit my original post. I would also like a little clarity on the includes/functions__shop.php file. The commands executed in this file can be used in other files by using this code: include ( $phpbb_root_path . 'includes/functions_points.' . $phpEx ) ; So I ...

Re: Basic steps to writing a MOD (necessary files)

I have updated my original post to include database setup. Anyone willing to explain the info files a little bit? I will do some research on it as well and re-edit my original post. I think this is an excellent resource both for myself in trying to learn how to make a MOD, and for other newbies who ...

Re: [RC] Points MOD 1.0.3

Hey man, I noticed a small flaw when editing posts. After you edit your post, the MOD doesn't recount the words. Someone could exploit this by spamming 10 000 words or so to get the points, and then edit their post to show only a few words. It would be a cheap way to get points. Solution: Have the m...

Re: Writing a simple mod

Yes, almost all MODs alter or work with the core files. Often this might compromise your board's security from threats, so make sure you know what you are doing or you get help.

Basic steps to writing a MOD (necessary files)

I have installed multiple MODS and am contemplating writing my first MOD. I have done some research on just the the basics; I'm not looking to write anything extravagant for my first MOD. The best way to learn something is always to teach it to someone else, so I am going to try to teach what I know...

Re: Writing a simple mod

I'm a coding newbie but I'll try to help you out. Check out 'root/includes/functions.php' Around line 2945 is some code for 'Generate login box or verify password'. Perhaps this can help you out. Not sure how much you know about phpBB but the best way I can explain it is that inside the phpBB files ...

Re: [RC] Points MOD 1.0.3

Sweet man I'm gonna test this on the weekend. Really love the points per word option as I believe this makes the MOD stand out. Encouraging thoughtful posts is what every forum wants.

Thanks again. I like this a lot more than the Ultimate Points MOD. Too many headaches with that one.

Re: Integrate excel sheets (.XLS) into phpBB

Ok, so it works on your forum, now I can't make it work on mine. Perhaps if you could clarify some points for me it would help. What's the difference between 'Inline Version' and 'Highslide Version'? I have edited the code to try it either way and still no success. There are only 5-6 edits so I'm su...

Re: Integrate excel sheets (.XLS) into phpBB

Yes I installed the latest version. Highslide is installed correctly but I am having issues with this mod. As you can see in your test board, 4_seven, I downloaded your first .xls document and uploaded it myself as a test user at the bottom. However when I upload it, you can't view it via highslide....
