Re: [Discuss] AutoMOD 1.0.2 released

I'm pretty sure i ran it, i even recopied the install folder for this, but since i'm the only one that got this issue you must be right, most likely i forgot something somewhere... It was on a test forum so... I'll try it again and see what happens.

Re: [Discuss] AutoMOD 1.0.2 released

is it ok to use automod to update itself? After doing this, I couldn't install any other mods, I got an SQL error when writing in phpbb_mods table saying that 'mod_contribs' column didn't exist. I tried uploading and updating automod manually but the column was still missing. I finally uninstalled/r...

Re: [RC-5] RSS Input

looks like there's a bug in automod updater. uninstalled automod altogether and reinstalled and now mods install fine, rss input mod included. gonna post about it in automod forum

Re: [RC-5] RSS Input

hello, I installed the mod on a test forum (3.0.10) with automod 1.0.0.1 and it installed fine, played with it a little, and decided to give it a shot on my live board. I had to ditch my outdated test forum due to another mod I was testing, so I decided to clone my live board to validate the install...

Re: Sharing user database with two boards

I know it is an old topic, and the subject is divided across several topics too, it's hard to keep track of everything. I have it currently setup so that only USERS and USER_GROUP is shared. I have done nothing else at all. why is it that whatever I do to my users, they always have the correct permi...

Re: Help with forums sharing same database.

Yes, but when a user logs in the first time, all of his permissions are cached into the user_permissions field in the users table. Therefore, when you login to Board1, your permissions are cached. Then, when you login to Board2, your permissions will be read from the cache, so it will use the cache...

Re: Help with forums sharing same database.

after reading a lot of threads with contradictory infos I think I made pretty good progress with the permissions issues. since I have 2 different domains I didn't bother with sessions and cookies. if you want to be logged on automatically just click the keep me logged on box. you don't get logged ou...

Re: group_id's

the mods at area 51 disapproved my topic, so i'm stuck here. my concern was that it could be crypted somewhere else. probably not, but a confirmation sure would be nice! I enjoy digging in the DB as a hobby, but i'm not a programmer, I couldn't dig in the code to find out myself. thanks for your inp...

Re: group_id's

so eh... I gave it a try, changed my REGISTERED group_id 660, changed it to group_id 2 (the value given in a fresh install) in these 4 tables : _acl_groups; _groups; _users; and _user_group. so far so good, can't seem to find any bugs. I still wonder if I could have broke something, if a phpbb devel...

group_id's

I am in the process of binding 2 separate forums to a single user database. this is the easy part and it works. but one of these forums is fairly new, while the other is a phpbb2 conversion. I have groups 1-6 and the other is like 656-666. one user from forum_1 can log in successfully to forum_2, bu...
