Re: Topic Counts Incorrect after Resync: Showing 2, Have 300

yeah there's abut 100 of those, but none are problematic. Most aren't even in the affected forums.

Re: Topic Counts Incorrect after Resync: Showing 2, Have 300

There are a few with topic approved set to "2" (not 0 or 1), but only 8 total topics out of tens of thousands Showing rows 0 - 7 (8 total, Query took 0.0009 sec) So doesn't explain the discrepancy of thousands of topics I am seeing in multiple forums Setting those back to 1 did clear up the mysterio...

Re: Topic Counts Incorrect after Resync: Showing 2, Have 300

So I manually set forum_topics = forum_topics_real (we aren't using moderation queues) which fixed the problem. However, as soon as I resynced the forum through the ACP it set the number of forum_topics back to 2.

Re: Topic Counts Incorrect after Resync: Showing 2, Have 300

Yes that does indeed appear to be where the problem lies SQL query: SELECT forum_topics, forum_topics_real from phpbb_forums WHERE forum_id = 15 LIMIT 0, 30 ; forum_topics 2 forum_topics_real 1745 However, when I run the following query SELECT * FROM `phpbb_posts` WHERE post_approved = 0 I get an em...

Re: Topic Counts Incorrect after Resync: Showing 2, Have 300

Yes, I have checked the masks, but there is nothing in particular either for the registered user group or the forums in question that appears out of place. Registered users have default permissions in any case, minus a few tweaks to time to delete own posts, etc. Not sure what permission setting wou...

Re: Topic Counts Incorrect after Resync: Showing 2, Have 300

Here are screenshots of the behavior Users see 2 topics, meaning no extra topic pages show http://cl.ly/2a0J1n2K0v1f3a3f2d2Q Admins still see all topics in this forum (1745) http://cl.ly/2d3b1l1z070K2J244617 However, on admin page for forum it only shows 2 topics http://cl.ly/41021N3n1a082H1J2O1a Bu...

Re: Topic Counts Incorrect after Resync: Showing 2, Have 300

Shamelessly bumping this next day -- users frustrated they can't see any topic pages other than the first one (though all posts are still there. As mentioned, admins can see them normally and if a user does a search they show up). Tried repairing mysql tables. Re-synced again. Tried to re-sync anoth...

Re: Topic Counts Incorrect after Resync: Showing 2, Have 300

Also I should mention that after resyncing, the incorrect topics now applies to all regular users, not just some of them. However, admins still see the correct number of topics and all topic pages.

Topic Counts Incorrect after Resync: Showing 2, Have 3000

Recently, I had a problem where some users where only seeing the first page of topics (rather than the 30 or 40 that were still there). I resynced the forums where they were having the problem and now it says "Topics: 2, Posts: 9500") or something similar. Some users can still see all the pages of t...

Re: re-importing posts to 3.08

just a note that the simple subforums converter didn't work because of a user_gender field. standard converter worked fine though, and wasn't a huge deal to put them back in the right place.

This has been solved. I simply copied them back to their standard folder in phpbb2 and re-ran the converter.

Like many others, I am somewhat surprised that this isn't default functionality or at least not a well-maintained MOD by now. We had this functionality no problem with phpbb2 ;) I know there is this MOD (Notify Moderators) http://www.phpbb.com/community/viewtopic.php?t=1057515 But it has been abando...
