Re: [RC] PhpBB3 Knowledge Base

Hey again, So I tried changing the path of kb.php to library.php and it turned out to be a very arduous task. I seem to have successfully done it, but there's the possibility that I may have made a few errors along the way. Could someone please advise me on the following: If I changed the path from ...

Re: Stable CMS Bridging

RokBridge doesn't have any option to integrate your forum into the Joomla template itself, but JFusion does. The way that I avoided this issue altogether was that I used a template that exists both for phpBB and Joomla, that way it all looks like it's part of the same site when in actual fact they'r...

Re: [RC] PhpBB3 Knowledge Base

Is there any way of changing the file name of kb.php to anything else that we want? For example, I would like to call it library.php. I imagine I would have to edit all occurrences of {$phpbb_root_path}kb.$phpEx in the code, but I don't want to do this without risking it or missing anything out. Cou...

Re: "If current page is" statement

Thanks very much for that, it'll be very helpful for future reference. I realized that the SCRIPT_NAME function essentially does the same thing and since it's already built into the core I decided to use that.

Thanks again!

Re: Stable CMS Bridging

I would definitely recommend Joomla 1.5 bridged with phpBB 3.08. That's the setup I've currently got on my site: [removed] I'm using the JFusion component on Joomla to bridge it to the forum. I started off with RokBridge, which was easier to setup, but had fewer configuration options. With JFusion y...

"If current page is" statement

Hi, I just installed the knowledge base MOD and am trying to make some changes to my template to suit it. I would like to have a switch that I can use in my template code such as <!-- IF S_IN_KB --> which will say that "if the user is currently viewing anything within the knowledge base, then show w...

Re: jQuery and mootools conflicting? Javascript not working!

That makes the status toggle work, which is a step forward. However, I still can't actually POST the status. Instead of the loading image appearing, it assumes the the image is literally located at http://techstudent.co.uk/forums/%7BT_THEME_PATH%7D/images/loader.gif, so it's not converting the {T_TH...

jQuery and mootools conflicting? Javascript not working!

Hi everyone, I noticed that some of my javascript code is not working. If I look at my forum index's source on Chrome, the <script> tags are in purple, but the </script> closing tags aren't, almost as if the scripts aren't closing properly and therefore the javascript function won't run... I dunno, ...

If statement: If current page is ucp.php?mode=register

I'm trying to construct an IF statement in overall_header.html that checks if the current page is the registration page. If so, I would like a piece of html to be included in the header. At the moment I have: <!-- IF SCRIPT_NAME eq 'ucp' --><!-- PHP -->if ($mode != 'register'){ echo'<HTML GOES HERE>...

Re: CSS affecting some elements but not others!

Awesome, thanks! I actually just deleted the div.panel from that line, and went into colours.css and found this: .panel { background-color: #ECF1F3; } and this: .bg1 { background-color: #ECF3F7; } .bg2 { background-color: #e1ebf2; } .bg3 { background-color: #cadceb; } And changed them to the appropr...

CSS affecting some elements but not others!

Hi there, I'm fairly new to css so bear with me if I'm a bit confused. In the prosilver template all of the boxes containing posts (like the one containing this text) have a blue background. The same applies to the boxes in the profile view. I installed a quick reply MOD that also has this blue back...

Add ul class when using [list] and [*]?

Hi there, The theme I was using had a small bug whereby any bullet lists I created in signatures and posts didn't display the bullets. Text was simply showing up as: Bullet 1 text Bullet 2 text and so on... So I went into styles.css and changed this: #page-body ul { margin: 0; } To this: #page-body ...

Re: [RC] Irkoo Reputations MOD

The voting power depends on voter reputation. If a user has a reputation of 400, then he will give 20 points (which is sqrt(400) ) for his first vote. His second vote for the same user on the same 24hrs period will add 10 points (which is sqrt(400) / 2) The third one will add 5 ( sqrt(400) / 4) And...

Re: [RC] Irkoo Reputations MOD

Hi guys, Just installed this MOD and it's working fine on phpBB 3.0.8. I'm really strung between whether to use this MOD or the Karma MOD... AHH decisions... Anyway, for those of you who want to show the reputation of a user in their profile, do the following: In memberlist.php, FIND: 'OCCUPATION' =...
