Re: [BETA] Tapatalk API extension for phpBB 3.1.x

To get tapatalk working with beta version on 3.1.3, you must disable gzip compression is you're using it. This fixed our issues and it is working now. Thanks for this info. Tapatalk support is almost non-existent. I upgraded to phpBB 3.1.3 + the latest Tapatalk extension (beta) then had this error:...

Re: Read/unread flags not updating immediately

Hello, We recently had a similar issue. It is related to .htaccess based cache control. Verify you don't have an .htaccess file in the root of your board with incorrect cache control settings. We had previously used some cache control to speed up page loads, and I guess 3.1.x introduced some .htacce...

Re: New posts don't register on viewforum page after posting

UPDATE: this issue is fixed. there were some previously applied (back when we had 3.0.12) .htaccess cache control modifications that were causing the issues with board not updating. for those who may find their way here, check your .htaccess files for any cache specific hacks. after removing these, ...

Re: New posts don't register on viewforum page after posting

Tried applying a hack to delay the redirect when clicking breadcrumbs and still no luck. Could this possibly be related to server times being out of sync with database time stamps? We're starting to dig in to look at the topics_track table to see if anything looks off. Deleting rows for a specific u...

Re: New posts don't register on viewforum page after posting

is nobody else experiencing this issue? it seems like when i click on a thread that is marked "unread" with new posts, it isn't updating the topics_track (?) table correctly.

not sure why this board seemed to move for over a day and no response. do i do a clean install or what :|

Re: Can't get the 'Topic Icon" text to go away..

the problem is that if you edit the code of the template file directly then the next update will probably overwrite that change and you will have to do it each time you update. that is kind of the point of the new extension system. when you want to make changes to prosilver, you should really do it...

Re: Can't get the 'Topic Icon" text to go away..

In the right sidebar of the post text box I see this: BBcode is off Smiles are off Can I remove that altogether? Disclaimer: I would imagine the development team and support team do not recommend making manual code changes to your board unless you know what you're doing, so proceed at your own risk...

Re: New posts don't register on viewforum page after posting

I did some more research last night and found an error in the admin logs indicating that at some point during the upgrade (likely during the long, overnight database update), the topics_track table was marked as crashed. I've tried repairing and analyzing it a couple of times since then and it shows...

Re: Users are logged out of 3.1.3

Well in my case I found out that if I use my smartphone to browse using WiFi connection all is fine. Once I switch to mobile data I start to get random logouts Which is very strange. This could be an issue with security settings of the board. I believe there is an option to verify part or all of th...

Re: Cannot remain logged in

@Mick: Roughly a dozen people in the guild from various parts of the country can load the page fine. @Mjw: Is there something else I need to do aside from changing the cookie_domain? As I mentioned, I've tried that with four different domains already, with the exact same result. Edit: It seems to b...

Looks like you've got cookie configuration issues. Check this link:

That helped me resolve our cookie issues when we moved to https:

Re: Godaddy Application Update?

We used to use GoDaddy for shared hosting and eventually "outgrew" their services due to posting volume and eventual size of the phpbb database. {Spam removed} You should download and install/patch it yourself for best results. Always make a backup of files and database before making any c...
