Re: Absolution

Whoops, never mind about my question about the 'Next/Previous' topic. I see now that the coding I saw was for pagination of multi-page threads. :roll:

Re: Absolution

Hey Christian...I have a dumb question. My forum members really like to have links at the bottom of each topic thread to take them to the Next or Previous topic. I was going to add a mod to include this, and when I went in to edit the 'viewtopic_body.html' file I see the following code: <!-- IF PREV...

Re: Absolution

Ironically, I wasn't aware there was a newer version of Firefox until I visited this thread with it, and got a pop-up telling me there was a newer version. :lol: Anyway, updated Firefox to v3.6 and then updated my ancient IE (to v8.0.6001.18702), and all problems reported with those two browsers has...

Re: Absolution

I'm seeing the same username alignment problems on my board...not in all instances, but some. The screenshots below were at 1024 x 768 resolution: With Firefox 3.5.8 http://www.fordification.com/delete/001.gif With Google Chrome 4.0.249.89 http://www.fordification.com/delete/002.gif With IE6.2900 ht...

Re: phpBB Gallery

Just a follow-up: I forgot to mention that I was installing this using the Absolution theme, but I was able to find everything just fine and had no problems. Thinking that I'd try re-installing it come scratch, I re-edited all files from backups...but this time for the prosilver theme. However, the ...

Code: Select all

.vt-postcontent {

	font-size: 13px;
	line-height: 17px;
	padding-top: 10px;

make the change and then refresh theme cache :)....
Thank you! :D

Re: phpBB Gallery

OK, this might be a shot in the dark, but it's worth asking anyway. I did an installation on a fresh phpbb install yesterday. The install appeared to go well, no errors. However, although I can access the Gallery admin functions just fine, if I click on the 'Gallery' link on my Index page, I get the...

Re: Absolution

I really do like this style, and am incorporating it into a fresh installation. :D However, I do have one question that I can't seem to figure out. How the heck can I change the font in the post body? I just spend several hours adjusting every mention of font in both the common.php and content.php f...

Allow hyphenated words in search results?

On my forums, there are a lot of words and/or part numbers which are hyphenated. But searching for any of them brings zero results. I need to allow hyphenated words to show up as such in searches. Is this possible?

Re: Need cheat sheet for modifying theme CSS

Thanks for replying, but I was hoping someone had put together a list with some plain-English descriptions of what each entry in each CSS file actually controls. Simply looking at the template file doesn't help me there. For example, let's say I want to adjust the font size of the topic subject. I c...

Need cheat sheet for modifying theme CSS

Has anyone put together a 'cheat sheet' describing what all the elements in the the various theme CSS files handle? What I mean is, if I wanted to adjust the forum header font size and/or color, or the table background colors, etc., where can I find a listing showing what file to look at (stylesheet...

Re: Hide Post Reply and New Topic buttons/text for guests

OK, I think I just figured out why it's not working....I haven't updated my installation from 3.0.2 to 3.0.5. :oops: I downloaded a full 3.0.5 and looked at those pages, the lines you told me to look for are there. Guess that's what I'm doing this evening. Thanks!

Re: Hide Post Reply and New Topic buttons/text for guests

I also tried changing: <!-- IF S_DISPLAY_POST_INFO and not S_IS_BOT --> to <!-- IF S_USER_LOGGED_IN and S_DISPLAY_POST_INFO and not S_IS_BOT --> and even after refreshing the templates and theme and purging the cache and then logging out and refreshing my browser, the buttons are still visible.

Re: Hide Post Reply and New Topic buttons/text for guests

Thank you for replying. I tried to apply the edits you suggested, but the code you told me to find on both pages doesn't exist. However, using your suggestion, I was able to find the following code: In viewforum_body.html <!-- IF S_DISPLAY_POST_INFO and not S_IS_BOT --> <td align="{S_CONTENT_FL...
