Re: URL links issue

The very first page you see would have a sid, as well as the links on that page. Once you go to a second page, the sid should disappear from the URLs. My SID is not changing after the first screen, no matter where i go on the forum the SID is still in the URL. I have the following entry in my host ...

Re: URL links issue

You would edit the hosts file in your own computer, not the server. Add in 10.25.40.16 www.infraforum01.com The when you use your forum, browse to http://www.infraforum01.com Should i still see the SID in the URL after doing this? I have created that entry in the host file, deleted all cookies then...

Re: URL links issue

Cookies do not work very well when using a UNC to access a webpage. You are better-off setting up a fake domain name in you hosts. file and using that for the cookie domain. Can you give me an example of how this should look if i was to use the following details: I.P. Address - 10.25.40.16 DNS Name...

Re: URL links issue

OK, getting a little annoyed with this now LOL My post above saying i think i have fixed it is a lie!! LOL I haven't fixed it :( The reason it worked at first was because I re-inserted the URL which worked, however this was due to the fact that it included my new SID so it didn't log me out but now ...

Re: URL links issue

I think i have fixed it. The forum is hosted on a virtual machine and i took the VM home to do some work on it, this involved creating links to other posts. I didn't specifically check the links worked at home but i was sure they did but at work they didn't work. I have just created a couple of new ...

Re: URL links issue

Clear cookies from your browser, or, change your cookie name to something else (just to refresh) and try logging again and clicking on a link. Still not working... I have just tried changing settings to: Capture.JPG then went to the board index and cleared all cookies, logged back in and it still l...

URL links issue

Hi, When clicking on a link to another post in my forum it logs me out, i have seen a lot of threads about this on here however the only solutions i have seen are all web based: e.g. This is your board URL: http://example.com/phpBB3 Your cookie settings should be: Cookie domain: .example.com (Note t...
