Re: Permission based on post count

Turns out this is possible without a mod. For those interested: Go to ACP Under the GENERAL tab, BOARD CONFIGURATION, select Post Settings Next to "Enable queued posts" select yes Specify the necessary post count beside "Maximum post count for queued posts" This should help quite...

Permission based on post count

I imagine this has been asked before, but I have been unable to find the answer to my question. My forum has seen a large influx of spammers over the last couple of years. To fix this I would like moderator approval to be mandatory for first posts. That is, a new user would need to have a post appro...

Re: Cron div in overall_footer causing space in IE8 below footer

I am having the same problem (although in Safari, not IE). What is the purpose of {RUN_CRON_TASK}? Would it cause any problems placing "display: none" for that div?

proSilver Link Colors

I am looking for the hex codes for the colors used in the links in proSilver Special Edition.

I would like to know exactly which colors are being used for the links on the site. When I check links.css I find only #898989 and #d2d2d2 which are shades of gray...

Am I missing something :?:

Upgrading from 3.0.1 to 3.0.4

Hey everyone, I have been running a forum on 3.0.1 -- I know, shame on me... -- and I'm looking now to upgrade to 3.0.4. Instead of making all the changes, I've decided to go with a fresh install of the software, and just copy over my old config file in order to use my old database... My question is...

Re: Upgrading from RC2 to 3.0.0

Okay, that appears to have worked. Thanks for the tip. It was much easier/faster that way!

Re: Upgrading from RC2 to 3.0.0

I have no MOD's installed, but I have changed the template quite a bit (but no changes to DB structure). Would your method still be valid?

Thanks,
Nico

Upgrading from RC2 to 3.0.0

Hello, I apologize if this has been answered elsewhere. I have been running a forum on RC2 (bad idea, I know) and, being a university student, haven't had the time to upgrade as time has passed. Well, I have some spare time and am looking to upgrade finally. However, my plan is to simply place a cle...

Re: Using Beta at the Current Moment

I appreciate the replies. So there is a chance that there will be changes to the DB structure, or any changes, that could hinder my ability to properly use phpBB 3.0 even if I use completely new files (PHP, HTML, etc.) when RC1 is out?

Thanks again!

Using Beta at the Current Moment

I am currently working with phpBB 3.0.B5 in a beta environment. I know that I probably sound like a broken record player, but may I ask what is left? What would be the dangers involved in using this software in a live environment? As far as I can tell (and I know that this isn't too far), the softwa...

Search Results

Hello, I have recently converted a phpBB 2.0 DB to a phpBB 3.0.B5 DB in a beta environment. I have been satisfied with the results, but have noticed that the search page does not seem to index any of the posts that were imported during the conversion process: it only indexes those that have been mad...

That it was; I was actually in Dallas as I watched the game. The level of enthusiasm shown by the Texans nearby was quite impressive! :P
