Re: Error on "Search' in new forum

Probably an extension that corrupts the XML, something that would create <img> and <iframe> elements. Alternatively, some part of the search may use a different rendering path than the regular thing.

Re: Change textareas to editable div

I'm not aware of any plan or any current work to implement a rich text editor in core.

Re: BBcode bitfield and other serialized data

So no, I wouldn't say this would require 18 tables, just 11 additional columns to the notifications table If the goal is to achieve some unspecified normal form for the notification table then adding columns won't help much. You may still end up with repeating groups of data, a whole lot of NULL fi...

Re: Change textareas to editable div

It would have almost all of the inconvenience of using a rich text editor with none of the benefits. Anybody who thinks it would make anything better needs to describe specifically how. Just replacing the textarea with an editable div does nothing by itself while breaking anything that relies on the...

Re: BBcode bitfield and other serialized data

is there any reason to have notification_data be be stored serialized? What's the alternative? There are ~18 types of notifications in a default installation. Each type of notification needs a different set of data, e.g. user_id of the user who triggered the notification, post_id, topic_id, etc... ...

Re: Simple query caching

How would I cache this optimally? You don't. If you want to process this optimally, you don't even run a query. Especially not a query inside of a loop, which should definitely be replaced by a join. You can modify the viewtopic query via the core.viewtopic_get_post_data event and the viewforum que...

Re: Using {SIMPLETEXT} and {INTTEXT}

You're using {REGEX1 in the template instead of {REGEXP1 . In the definition, it should be like this: {REGEXP1=/../} If you have multiple value, you should give them proper names for forward compatibility. [shield project={IDENTIFIER} version={REGEXP=/^[-.<=>@0-9a-z]+$/} color={IDENTIFIER2}]{PARSE=/...

Re: Using {SIMPLETEXT} and {INTTEXT}

If you want to limit the content to a particular set of characters you can use a regexp like this: {REGEXP=/^[-.<=>@0-9a-z]+$/} in the definition and {REGEXP} in the template.

Re: Got error during search after update to 3.2 version

For future reference, I tracked it down to censor_text(), which isn't totally HTML- or XML-safe. The simplest workaround would be to avoid censoring things that resembles markup.

What was the censored word and replacement? They shouldn't be able to make the XML invalid.

Re: Got error during search after update to 3.2 version

You're going to have to find what XML causes this error message: DOMDocument::loadXML(): Specification mandate value for attribute Trash in Entity, line: 25 I don't know whether something creates/created an attribute named Trash or if the word "Trash" is used as a placeholder for an invalid attribut...

Re: How to remove empty attributes?

You can use XSLT to only add an attribute if it's specified.

Code: Select all

<td>
	<xsl:copy-of select="@colspan"/>
	<xsl:copy-of select="@rowspan"/>
	<xsl:apply-templates/>
</td>
