One user on forums always needs post approval

Hey,

Got a forum with ~2k members. However there is one user that always needs his posts approved by a mod. I have looked and looked through the permissions and can not see what is wrong.

Is there prehaps something in the database I need to change to do this?

Re: Random Background Image, Javascript.

Another way to do it would be to apply a random class name to the <body>, then you can call it in your css file which would save messing around with the template file.

Re: Integrating phpBB and other member features (WordPress)

This board is support for phpBB, not Wordpress. If you have any questions about wordpress, you should be asking on their support, not here. As far as integrating Wordpress with phpBB, I have only heard of wp-united, which was abandoned as far as I know. It was abandoned, but the developer is back o...

Re: Calling data from custom profile field

Well I'm glad to know that actually, wasn't sure if that was a hacky way of doing it!

You can't include the global variable inside the postrow though. I know why, but I can't explain it without making something up - but you'd use a custom profile field for that anyway and call it.

Re: Moving of some of the info in miniprofile?

PHPBB already comes with an "online" status, you just need to change the image and/or the css to position it.

There is a country flags mod, search for it. However to add more info to the miniprofile there is a file called "viewtopic_body.html". In there you can add html inside the postrow loop.

Re: Calling data from custom profile field

Could you not set a global variable? In includes/functions.php something like: Add before $template->assign_vars(array( 'SITENAME' $user->get_profile_fields( $user->data['user_id'] ); $user_fields = $user->profile_fields; $game_username = (isset( $user_fields['pf_your_cfp_id'] )) ? $user_fields['pf_...

Re: Avatar on Home Page Coding Issue

What file are you editing? If it's the html output (e.g. overall_header.html), then the avatar can be called using one of these global variables: https://wiki.phpbb.com/Global_Template_Variables

Just put it in the html, wrapped with { }

Re: Hide post from group

To be perfectly honest with you, I have no idea from the description what that MOD does. I had seen it before posting this, but I was under the impression that admins (or set group(s)) could click a post and it hides it. I was looking for something where the poster (if in a specified group) had the ...

Hide post from group

Hello, I was looking for the ability for our "admin" group to have an extra feature when replying to posts. Before posting they would be able to select an "internal" option, and when the post has been made it would be hidden from everyone else who is not in the "admin" group. So the post could be ma...

Re: Vertical centering on navlinks2 bar

I don't think it was ever rounded at the bottom? Anyway it can still be done: Find: <div class="navbar" Either add the following into your stylesheet: .navbar { -webkit-border-radius: 12px; -moz-border-radius: 12px; border-radius: 12px; } Or do an inline style (not really recommended, but still work...

Re: Custom variable 'caching(?)' in postrow

I was struggling to get the data to be pulled that way and only have it loaded into the API call once (if there was multiple posts by the same person). Anyway I've done it now, for anyone interested if they come across this: 1)I updated the SQL query on line ~1064 to also get the value of the custom...

Re: Vertical centering on navlinks2 bar

Hm... It depends what html you have access to. Anyway you need to find: <div class="fb-like fb_edge_widget_with_comment fb_iframe_widget" data-href="http://www.themarino.co.uk/forum" data-send="true" data-layout="button_count" data-width="450" data-show-faces="false" data-font="verdana" fb-xfbml-sta...

Re: Custom variable 'caching(?)' in postrow

Okay I understand that, however I still can't understand how to get the custom profile field into a variable, before the cache'd variables are declared. I could make a database query, but I have a feeling there is something already available to do that, but not sure what it is.

Re: Vertical centering on navlinks2 bar

You will need to either edit the html and put it on the same line as where "Main Site - jase on twitter...", or put a div around the buttons with an id, add some custom css and put a negative margin on it. A link to the site/where it is would be best so we can inspect the elements.
