Re: Change URL's from old domain to new domain in all posts

Now i did most of them with search and replace from phpmyadmin. I had to do search and replace like 20 times to make sure i only did it on the correct links (hopefully) and now i got under 100 addresses left to check manually. I had to do it double (one time for http:// and one time for https://) An...

Ratings for translations

I guess the rating system with the five stars for the translations does not make so much sense. From what i can tell people are allowed to vote one time and not allowed to change this vote later. So it does not matter how much new versions of the translation is improved the vote for the old version ...

Re: Change URL's from old domain to new domain in all posts

I would like to see something specific to phpBB. Maybe a regex something like: <[URL|IMG|LINK_TEXT] url="[http|https]://host.domain1 I dont want to just change "host.domain1" to "host.domain2" because that will change some text where i write about the old domain that i dont ...

Change URL's from old domain to new domain in all posts

My board used to be on another domain. During that time me and the users have written lots of URL's for that domain which worked since the URL's was pointing to the correct ressources. Now the board is on another domain. But the posts are still the same with URL's pointing to the now old domain whic...

Re: Make phpBB check return value of mail() function

I also have my own homemade contact form and when the limit was reached the contact form say the mail was not sent. But using phpBB to sent a email just says the mail was sent no matter if i use SMTP or not and the mail is not sent. It seems like the return value of mail() in phpBB is only checked f...

Make phpBB check return value of mail() function

Sadly my host have a limit on how many emails can be sent. And sadly phpBB just seem to say that the email have been sent regardless of it being sent or not. This is not good because if a users tries to go to the contact us page and sent a email they get told it have been sent but it might not have ...

Re: Improve page for uploading language pack files

Why does it say:

Code: Select all

        Version phpBB Version(s)
        3.2.5 3.2.6
I did not write 3.2.6.

Re: Improve page for uploading language pack files

Improve page for uploading language pack files

So i just uploaded a language pack for the first time. I click the Continue button and the form is submitted but the next page says: New revision ready for processing. Cancel Continue I can click Continue but the same page just shows again. I suggest having a better page after uploading a language p...

Re: Using Apply to become a translator form

Page says: Don't worry if you think you don't have much written in this box Personally i would prefer not being forced to input anything. Just be able to submit the form with empty "Additional Information:" text area. I haven't uploaded any language pack yet. https://area51.phpbb.com/docs/...

Re: Name for zip file and folder

I suggest that the phpBB files and the language pack files use the same style for file names and folder names. phpBB-3.2.6.zip contains phpBB3 folder So why not have language packs contain phpBB3 folder as well instead of language_3_2_x? Also phpBB-3.2.6.zip uses "-". So why not have langu...

Using Apply to become a translator form

I submitted the form at https://www.phpbb.com/languages/apply.php a few days ago but have not heard anything back. How long do people wait? I see 3.2.6 have just come out (3 days ago) so i would like to be able to upload translation for 3.2.6 in short time so both phpBB and translation is available ...

Name for zip file and folder

https://area51.phpbb.com/docs/dev/3.2.x/language/validation.html says: The submitted <languagename>_<version>.zip must contain a <languagename>_<version> folder. The files from above should be placed in this folder. But this does not tell how the language name and version should be written exactly. ...

Danish 3.2.5 is looking for reviews

I have updated the danish translation to 3.2.5 but i need others to have a look at it to catch errors and suggest changes. We write about it on http://phpbb3.dk/viewtopic.php?f=190&t=1407 in danish. If nobody have any suggestions i will properly upload the translation to phpbb.com soon. But feel...

Submitting translations for official extensions does not work well

Over half a year ago i made sure all the 8 official extensions was translated to danish and uploaded the translations. But it seem only 2 of the extensions are including the translations even though there have been new releases and i submitted the translations in advance of the the new releases. So ...
