User passwords are not stored anywhere in phpBB or phpBB cookies - so there is no chance to grab the password from any of those sources.

What about the classic browser bookmark (or "favourite"): example.com/mcp.php?i=main&mode=front instead of modifying files? Just write a announcement in your internal moderator board and tell them to use that link in a separate browser window or tab ...

You can define it on webserver level, eg. for apache with the module mod_expires in your .htaccess. See https://httpd.apache.org/docs/current/m ... pires.html for a documentation, and for sure you'll find a lot of examples by using a proper search engine
