Re: phpBB.com Website Feedback

Is it possible to let a link, in this case a link via the Demo tab for a style, to open a separate tab in your browser rather than loading the page in the same tab one is using to read the information for a style? It's a little annoying to go back every time one wants to continue from where the link...

Re: [GUIDE] How to edit any part of the theme with ease!

Yes everything can be and yes it’s doable in Firefox but chrome is far better at it. Also the problem there is that the avatar is not supported on mobile in that theme so it was never styled responsively I've been busy with other things lately, so I haven't been active here much. I see. I didn't kn...

Why should a information be included in the knowledge base when it is already in the user's guide?
Because people often look in the KB when one is looking for information.

Besides, I've no idea that was included in that page you linked to.

Re: [GUIDE] How to edit any part of the theme with ease!

I need to be honest, I don't like Goggle Chrome, so that's probably why I stick with Firefox. But despite the differences I assume the steps is pretty much the same as it is with Chrome. Correct? Good guide, I'll try to remember that. Thanks for posting it. :D Also, I was just about to ask the peopl...

Re: phpBB.com Website Feedback

I looked for information in the present KB about how to create a subforum as a redirected forum link to an external site, but couldn't find anything in the present KB then I searched for it and found this . Why do I need to look for information that has an answer for an outdated phpBB version? I cre...

Re: Discuss: phpBB 3.2.4 Release

however, do NOT use the autoupdate package. I understand that, but what I don't understand is this about the patch files. The patch file package is for those wanting to update through the patch application, and should only be used by those who are comfortable with it. The patch file is one solution...

Re: Help needed when updating to the latest phpBB 3.2.x

but the problem seems to be related to the password the assigned username for my database has and that doesn't match with the config.php. You should be able to change your database user password in your control panel to match that of your config.php file. I know I can do that, but how do I find out...

Re: Help needed when updating to the latest phpBB 3.2.x

Regarding the config.php, I think I was too tired last night and now I'm not sure if the config.php is intact or not, because I may have let it be altered when trying to get my forum working. The reason I mention this is, because there is an error saying that my assigned database user is denied acc...

Re: Help needed when updating to the latest phpBB 3.2.x

You mean all I need to do is to upload the entire phpBB 3.2.3 package then copy the config.php file. Is that it? You can always recover a site by having a correct config file and the phpBB files. The database is your site. The rest is just code to make it look right. Fair enough. So, what is the ne...
