Re: Questions about htaccess files

Greeting Support Team; I believe yahoo runs a windows server as until fairly recently they supported Front Page(worthless) publishing. Since I changed the necessary files ie. congig.php and the other directories and deleted the install directory I should be good to go. Actual the file and directorie...

Re: No Email When New User Registers

I had a similar issue. The conflict seems to be the forum is sending an email to the address(the administrator's email addy) that is the same as the email it was sent from.(forum email setting) Which will not happen, you may get a undelivered mail notice or not, but that is what the conflict appears...

Re: Is there any way to do this? (Message in explorer)

I'm not sure but I think the code needs to be changed in one of the forums files. You will most likily need a php editor to do this. Other then that I can't say.

Re: Is their a mybb 1.6.* to phpbb 3.0.*

I don't believe there is. All I could find from clicking those buttons up there in the header, for example the download one then choosing latest update then choosing install guide, the first thing item in the column on the left side, that will take you to support, where you will see a procedure for ...

Re: Need help. Site/Forum going down "urgent"

Yes the support request template up above it's very user friendly and will create a topic posting window with the code for it present, then just go to the final line of the code, at the end of the line hit enter a couple of times then you can write in any other info that may be helpful. Submit it, t...

Re: Topics not viewable after upgrade.

The only thing I can see is that 3.0.10 requires mysql 3.23 reference: http://www.phpbb.com/support/documents.php?mode=install&version=3#requir looked at the site before reading your second post and found out your second post was meaningful, but, helpers may wish to see the site before much more can...

Re: Upgrading style to 3.0.10

Yes, up there in the header under downloads. There should also be a forum based function to upgrade. Look up there in the header, you should be able to find the info you need.

Re: Need help. Site/Forum going down "urgent"

Perhaps you are experiencing a denial of service DOS action.

Start by using the Support form request template. Other then what I suggested I can not offer any other thoughts.

Luck with it.

Re: Limit number of topics read per day (or session)

From what you said, it seems you have to create user policies, and, or, configure your forum installation to limit these users you do not want posting spam. It's not really an enhancement request, it's a support request template. It contains some useful information, which, if used, could help member...

Re: Limit number of topics read per day (or session)

My first question would be why. Why did you not use the support request template? Why would you want to limit your users access to your forum? If you don't want to exceed your bandwidth that's not an issue that can be readily resolved here. A couple of topics a day? Do you get the idea of what a for...

Re: Internet Explorer Cannot Display the Webpage

Internet Explorer eh! Some browsers are worthless. Use Firefox, Opera, or some other full feature browser. IE should only be used for MS Update and other MS apps. The error message is just a generic error message, you might have an issue with IE configuration, conflict with firewall, anti-virus or o...

Re: Looking For Someone To Help Tweak Large Board

It would have been helpful if you had used the support request template. It seems that your issue is with php or your database. Since you haven't given any details about your installation your pretty much fishing in the dark. You might try purging your forums cache, or running resynchronization func...
