either you have the path wrong in your ftp settings or , you are using a add on domain name on your server and it can't access the directory it needs. Someone on IRC suggested I might need to repopulate the modules table, but I don't know how to do that. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

The server my board is hosted on does not have zlib, so so the write method Compressed File Download is not an option. If you View Source on any of your pages, there is a blank line at the top. Perhaps there is a blank line at the bottom of one of those files. Found a blank line at the bottom of config.php. That fixes the blank that can be seen in the source. This doesn't seem to be the problem with the avatars, ho...
