Re: [Beta] phpBB Calendar 0.1.1 (alightner)

I wouldn't think much about it as long as nothing breaks. phpBB 3.0.x updates shouldn't break the calendar mod, at least I think it's not very likely to happen.

If it breaks, some brave soul or Chuck Norris will step in... :D

Re: [Beta] phpBB Calendar 0.1.1 (alightner)

What kind of updates are you looking for? The mod works mostly as expected, despite some special needs.

Re: [Beta] phpBB Calendar 0.1.1 (alightner)

One can debate if this calendar mod is a simple calendar.

@keetch
Do you principally know what to do to install a mod into phpBB3 without using AutoMOD? Have you already installed some mods in your phpBB3?

Re: [Beta] phpBB Calendar 0.1.1 (alightner)

any way to not display users birthdays in calendar? As far as I remember this is pretty straightforward... Open includes/functions_calendar.php and comment out in function calendar_display_month(), // if ( $user_can_view_events && $auth->acl_get('u_viewprofile') ) // { // // find birthdays // $cale...

Re: [Beta] phpBB Calendar 0.1.1 (alightner)

I have no experience in creating modx packages. Therefore I packed just my German language files. I must leave the other stuff to more experienced people... ;)

Re: [Beta] phpBB Calendar 0.1.1 (alightner)

@deltabert I would guess there's something wrong with the icon definitions and/or the icon files. I don't have a problem with the icons when I switch to English or German language. Compare thoroughly that you have all the icon files in place: there must be six calendar GIFs in root/styles/prosilver/...

Re: [Beta] phpBB Calendar 0.1.1 (alightner)

So i downloaded your German language pack to see if this could give me a hand for a translation to Dutch. But when I open the pack, I noticed only subdirectory's with "en" in it, and no "de" or something like that. Could you explain to me (perhaps via pm) how one makes a language pack? Much appreci...

Re: [Beta] phpBB Calendar 0.1.1 (alightner)

I have repacked my German language files properly (to my best knowledge) into the provided language mod zip from the first post. I did not change the XML or whatever might be needed to make it working as I barely have knowledge how to do this. phpbb_Calendar_1_0_0_lang.zip including German casual ho...

Re: [DEV] phpBB Bug Tracker

I'm sure he is not updating the repo... Then what is the Github repo good for when it is not updated? Is there ongoing development or not? Is public contribution desired or not? This doesn't make much sense to me. Sorry, but the announcement was promising and I could have used such a mod for my new...

Re: [Beta] phpBB Calendar 0.1.1 (alightner)

Yes, I thought it was an unintended typo. I will rework my hack with a custom format_date() for output and some other tweaks, but currently I have to postpone it. The way it works now is fine for more than 99%, maybe no one will even recognise it. :roll: Thank you for your assistance! Cheers, sssubi...

Re: [Beta] phpBB Calendar 0.1.1 (alightner)

User A would see that events as: starting: August 12, 11:00pm ending: August 18, 11:00pm starting: August 15, 03:00pm ending: August 16, 03:00pm starting: August 17, 09:00pm ending: August 17, 10:00pm I don't agree! Why should User A see ending of week long Event with ending date of 18th ?. He sees...

Re: [Beta] phpBB Calendar 0.1.1 (alightner)

I don't suspect the recurring events etc to give you trouble with your fix. I was also wondering if perhaps you might just want to add a "59" option to the minutes pull down menu. Then you can let the user explicitly say that they want an event to end at 23:59. Then again you'll have to decide if e...

I solved my "midnight issue" with this quick fix shown as output from "git diff calendarpost.php" (don't be confused by the stuff in the line with @@ ... @@ ...): diff --git a/calendarpost.php b/calendarpost.php index 6bf525b..2cc7fb6 100644 --- a/calendarpost.php +++ b/calendarpost.php @@ -370,6 +3...

Re: [Beta] phpBB Calendar 0.1.1 (alightner)

I agree, I just don't really understand what you want. I gave you code that would show it ending the previous day (because it ends at 11:59:59pm instead of 0:00:00am) and depending on how you setup your date/time format in the ACP you could display that with the weekday name or the number date or h...

Re: [Beta] phpBB Calendar 0.1.1 (alightner)

If you had just one all day event entered into your calendar, not necessarily the event you were trying to test, but any all day event in the database would have caused this error. Are you sure that every event in your database was a timed event (with start and end times, not all day)? Oh, I'm sure...
