Re: Where does phpBB handle the login that redirects users

Login_box is the function phpBB using for logins. Redirect is one of its parameters. Yes but how do you literally use the parameter when logging in? I think I see now. There is a hidden field isn't there? I was confused because both forms used the same action, but there is a field named redirect . ...

Re: Where does phpBB handle the login that redirects users

How do you 'set' the redirect variable for logging in? On line 2425 there is a reference to a function called generate_board_url() . Where can this function be found? I also found this in the redirect function // fallback to "last known user page" // at least this way we know the user does not leave...

Where does phpBB handle the login that redirects users

I know that in the functions.php around line 3041 is the code that redirects the user to the index.php when logging in. There is another login function. Using this function will direct a user to where they were going before logging in. For instance, if you click to do something that you have to be l...

Re: phpbb vs vbulletin

As far as I am concerned, cost is not an advantage, it is a merely a consideration. In order for the software to be effective, it needs to be able to do what you want it to do. If it turns out the software that meets your needs is free, that's great, but cost alone should not be the determining fac...

Re: Redirect ucp.php somewhere other than index.php upon log

I thought about that, but isn't that kind of a clumsy way of doing it since index is still set in the functions.php ? And this is outside of my forum directory. So a redirect parameter in a hidden input to take a user to the page they were at before logging in wouldn't be very ideal would it? Wouldn...

Re: Redirect ucp.php somewhere other than index.php upon log

Haha. I rigged up a very simple solution to my problem. Like I stated above. I have two logins. One in the forum, and one outside of it. I want my login outside of the forum to login and then take you back to the previous page. So here is a little thing I rigged up. On line 3046 of the functions.php...

Re: Redirect ucp.php somewhere other than index.php upon log

Thank you. That really explained a lot. Is there a way to set it so the redirect redirects to the page I was at before logging in? I tried some thing like

Code: Select all

assign_var('AUTO_REFRESH', $time);
But no luck.

Redirect ucp.php somewhere other than index.php upon login

I am working on a small community website, and I intend to have two versions of my ucp.php . One version is for login requests inside the forum directory, and the other version is forum login requests outside of the forum directory. The default ucp.php will function as intended and will have zero ch...
