Re: Changing target forum in moderator queue

Thanks for replying. I seem to have a few more problems - I have been away from this for a while. I'm going to hit the documentation and come back later. Thanks again!

Changing target forum in moderator queue

Hi all!

While moderating a fresh NRU's post in the queue I would like to be able to occasionally redirect the post to a different forum. I don't see a way of doing so. Is there???

TIA

Re: [split] Reuse user ids from deleted accounts

" ... why would you care?"

Probably just an oldtimer's over- (or mis-) developed sense of thrift. :)

" ... it is a database specific setting."

I assumed that. Can you point me to which table(s)?

TIA!

[split] Reuse user ids from deleted accounts

If I just want to slow down the expansion of the user_Ids by resetting the last/next number. I.e. After I delete a few dozen trespassers reset the system's pointer to the next number to be used from "Highest-so-far" to "Highest I have kept" Where would I be able to do that? Hopefully, in only one pl...

Re: comparing inside template

" ..without the braces "

That worked indeed - thank you!

How damn confusing. Inside the 'title' statement braces are ok, also in my trace where I output it, but here it wasn't. So much to learn to tweak this into a semblance of what I want.

Thanks again!

Re: comparing inside template

" .. ELSEIF will not work without an IF and ENDIF." Sure. As I posted, when I replaced the comparison " {SCRIPT_NAME} eq 'viewforum' " with an innocuous numeric one, things were ok. The context is (apologies for the clumsiness of the code; for now, I am just scraping together bits to get the thing d...

comparting inside template

Reading what I could find on this subject in the wiki led me to believe that the following statement should work. <!-- ELSEIF {SCRIPT_NAME} eq 'viewforum' --> I tried using it in the overall_header but it crashed it. When I replace the comparison with a simple numeric one (unrelated, irrelevant, jus...

Re: page number in url

Thanks, Brf! I realized that as I got out into the cold air to get something to eat. I had played around today with placing an anchor (name=xx) and using just that approach but I cannot get it to do better than finding the right topic. BBC's have been defeating me for months. Now I have to try to ge...

Re: page number in url

If the link, as I provided above, is to the first post in the topic then, unsurprisingly, it will ...... I can't really blame you for suspecting me of overlooking that; but no - I didn't. My remaining problems probably have to do with the BBCs that I tried my hands at. Now my head is swimming - so ...

Re: page number in url

Thank you again, Bill! I had quite misread what I was looking at. Yes, post number as unique is the answer. Having played with it I am still unsure of what I need to specify. It seemed that with that alone I do get to the top of the relevant topic but not to the post precisely. However, in specifyin...

page number in url

I can't recall having seen any posts dealing with the page# and searching brings up unrelated stuff. The only reason I even became aware of it is that many calls that I see in the logs use this page#. My questions are: 1) what use does the system make of it? 2) how permanent is the number, i.e. what...

Variables available in overall_header ??

Is there a variable that I can access in overall_header that tells me what program I am in, ie. index vs. viewforum vs. viewtopic?

And is the forum and/or topic number available?

TIA!

Re: DB restored but not clean

Thank you, Bill! I got it to work. One little caveat for the next newbie like me who tries it: SELECT concat('DROP TABLE IF EXISTS ', table_name, ';') FROM information_schema.tables WHERE table_schema = 'MyDatabaseName' AND table_name LIKE 'myprefix_%'; phpbb seems to name the first set of tables it...

Re: DB restored but not clean

Do I have to do that one table at a time or is there a command that does the entire job?

TIA!
