Re: [2.0.20] phpBB GTalk (Google Talk) Support

Then you must be using an already modified forum because I've just checked a clean version of the 2.0.22 release and that find certainly works correctly.

If you've installed a mod that changes that query then you'll have to modify that code yourself.

Re: [2.0.20] phpBB GTalk (Google Talk) Support

Yes. this mod should work with EasyMOD without a glitch - it is how most users install it. However I haven't tested it myself because I don't use EasyMOD myself I cannot say more than that.

Re: [2.0.20] phpBB GTalk (Google Talk) Support

Okay, as far as I can tell, for this to work you must be using the development version of GTalk. To use this mod the phpbb GTalk mod must already be installed. ############################################################## ## MOD Title: phpBB GTalk (Google Talk) Support (gtalk URI) ## MOD Author: pt...

Re: [2.0.20] phpBB GTalk (Google Talk) Support

I seem to have deselected "notify of replys to thread" at some point, so I was not aware of all these posts being made - it is purely chance than I happened to wander into this thread and notice them. I assure you this MOD is not dead and I will endeavour to answer questions more promptly in the fut...

Oh, the image isn't supposed to show in the profile? Nope, if it did then there would be no way for your users to view each others GTalk details, and as GTalk doesn't used the XMPP URI there's no way for them to be able to access a hyperlink wrapped around an image which opens a dialogue window for...

I installed this with easymod, and it installed fine, but the main issue is that the google image doesn't show up in viewtopic and when viewing someone's profile, the button doesn't show up, just whatever their googletalk name is. The latter 'problem' (when viewing a users profile you don't see the...

[...] UPDATE: After looking into this further, realname mod adds realname after username in many lines. I uninstalled the realname mod with easymod, then installed phpbbjabbermod without errors. I can go into my profile and add my ID but there is no visible support on my posts. For the next release...

I did look at the Profile Control Center MOD but the changes it makes are extensive - the first attempt at integrating this MOD with it was an unmittigated disaster and at the time I didn't have the time to start over so it was put on the backburner. It seems there's still intrest in it so i'll prob...

Not right now, but i'll diff the two versions and make up a set of instructions on how to perform the required changes. Expect to see something here tomorrow(ish).
