Re: Link to a specific post comment

LOL, nope, still not getting it, sorry.
When I open a new tab using the quote, I get the new message. Are you saying that that URL or that I actually have to create that new post and link to it somehow.

Not sure why I'm not following this.

Re: Link to a specific post comment

Yes, what you are showing me is exactly what I am asking about.
I've tried what you are telling me but am not seeing the same thing.
Maybe I am missing something and will re-read the whole thread.

Re: Link to a specific post comment

So for my test, I'm trying to see your first reply/comment to my post. When I click on the tiny icon near the subject, it does highlight the comment but the rest of the comments including my original question show. If I click on the up arrow, same thing. Just so you understand why I or someone might...

Re: Link to a specific post comment

That still leads to the first comment on the second page. Logged in as a user or not.

Re: Link to a specific post comment

I'm not seeing that or missing it. BTW, it's someone else's post.

Link to a specific post comment

Is there a way to link to a specific comment in a thread? For example, the thread viewtopic.php?f=13&t=40 the second page viewtopic.php?f=13&t=40&start=10 This shows the start of the comment I'd like to isolate but it also shows the next reply. viewtopic.php?f=13&t=40&start=11 Is there some way of c...

Re: Text where logo would go

I found all I had to do was to edit the colours.css file to get rid of the space. That was a good start. I'd prefer having a text box in there over an image so will look at the things you all suggested.

Thank you.

Re: Text where logo would go

This talks about changing the logo which I had already done but what I'm looking for is a way to use that space for text rather than an image.
I found I could change the .site_logo space to at least get rid of the empty space.

Text where logo would go

Is there a well known extension or some other method of replacing the top banner logo with just text?
There is the Board Settings text but I'm talking about the text to the left of that.

Re: Default forum image (Facebook, twitter, etc)

I know how to install extensions, I'm saying this one is not being seen. I tried putting both the first and second directory of files into the boards ext/ folder as usual but it's not seen by the board as an extension. Meaning, I tried putting /html/ext/phpbb/alfredoramos/ nothing found. so then I t...

Re: Default forum image (Facebook, twitter, etc)

Installing the extension as usual is not showing up as a new extension on the board but I'll look around and try to install it.
I'm not finding any installation information or I'm blind.

Thanks very much, it might be what I'm looking for.

Default forum image (Facebook, twitter, etc)

I searched about this but found mainly unrelated questions. What I'm looking for is a default larger than icon image that would be used for sharing links on sites like facebook, twitter etc. When I share a link to a post or the forums, there is no such image or if there is one, it's the posters own ...

Re: The FAQ gets indexed

Mainly just a curiosity since I started taking an interest in SEO while working on this board which I'll hand over at some point soon to someone else.
Just wondered if search engines are first seeing the FAQ and the other things I mentioned or if all things are equal.
