Re: Where is the email sent from new registration request

Also I have the "Use SMTP server for e-mail:" set to yes, but I'm not even sure what that is.

Re: Where is the email sent from new registration request

It goes to the email address used in your admin account. Hi Kevin I just tried another registration and still nothing. I checked my admin account and I have it set as admin@forumname.com of which I have an email address of that name, but nothing still. I have "Enable board-wide e-mails:" enabled an...

Where is the email sent from new registration request

I have set the account registration to "by Admin" and then tried to register myself.

The message came up that an email would be sent to the admin team, but i have checked all my email accounts and have received nothing.

Where does phpBB send the email?

Thanks

Re: SPOILER bbcode... SMF forum type

I used the show/hide BBcode to create a sort of index page where people could choose to expand on a given item, but it looks a bit messy. https://photos.thealchemyforum.com/i.ashx?gallery=4278071&mid=82837592&mt=Photo&size=320x240 Is there a BBcode that would only include the word itself and allow y...

Re: Words in Posts Turned Into Links

Thanks for all the replies guys, but the problem seems to have gone...
I am not using free hosting, I ran an antivirus prog and Adaware, now
all appears to be ok.

Re: Words in Posts Turned Into Links

I understand what you are saying Robert, but i have managed to get rid of all the ad's by editing them out.

I shall do as you ask should they return.

I will put the words back in and see what happens.

Thanks

Re: Words in Posts Turned Into Links

I have the same problem. It started today and changed the words, "video" and "free" into mouse-over ad's, it even did it in the forum desciption that contained those words. When you edit the post there is nothing there to show these are links. I am hosting on Godaddy and using phpBB3...other than th...

Re: SPOILER bbcode... SMF forum type

Robert I posted here because I used the code in tommekemc's post above, but it didnt work for me. I placed it in the BBcode section of the ACP/Posting/add a new BBcode in the "HTML replacement" box. <div style="margin:20px; margin-top:5px"><div class="quotetitle"><b>Spoiler:</b> <input type="button"...

Re: SPOILER bbcode... SMF forum type

tommekemc does that code go in the HTML replacement box?

I have put this into my BBcode and it submitted ok.

The result I'm getting is:
here is some text [spoiler]and this is the spoiler text[/spoiler]
Is there something I'm missing?

Re: Some BBcodes not working

Would you suggest turning of HTML and just using the BBcodes?

Re: Some BBcodes not working

I read the help file and all has become clear. BBcodes are like a HTML shortcut.
