I may be able to do this without a template. I prefer not to post the host or URL unless absolutely necessary. I'm currently running 2.0.17 with about 25 assorted mods. The forum had been HACKED AND UPDATED TO 2.0.18 . Two new tables were created on the phpbb_ database, but because phpMyAdmin doesn'...

A NEW message. Nobody can be subscribed to a message that hasn't yet been posted. Yet upon submission, the board is sending email.

Now what?

Okay, let's try this another way.

I'm getting a DEBUG error message when posting a new message. Obviously the forum is attempting to send email when I submit a post.

Where can I find the email address the forum is sending email to? Or how can I monitor/review/read the message that is being sent?

No, I am not subscribed to any threads, yet the forum is attempting to send email.

Please, if anyone else can answer, I'd appreciate it.

That's not important and my point was missed. What's important, and my question remains, why is my forum attempting to send email when someone posts a new, or replies to a message?

Forum Attempting to Send Email Upon Post Submission

Due to a problem I am having with an email issue via the forum, I have disabled forum email completely via the ACP. That said, when someone attempts to post a message, an intermittent "DEBUG ERROR" under General Error returns: "Could not connect to smtp host : 0 : Success". Why is my 2.0.17 (which I...

One, that's not an image, it's a URI. Two, that host prohibits remote linking.

An important consideration must be given with respect to the fact that upon changing an email address to one that the user will not receive (or deleting it entirely), there will be no automated process to then retrieve/reset a lost password. The user must be informed of this issue. Regarding board m...

If you're unable to change your email address, the board administrator can edit a member's profile and change their email address to one that he owns for the express purpose of containing board messages, or he can delete it entirely.

Came up with the following: // Query 1: update phpbb_posts set poster_id=ID1 where poster_id=ID2; // Query 2: update phpbb_privmsgs set privmsgs_from_userid = ID1 where privmsgs_from_userid = ID2; // Query 3: update phpbb_privmsgs set privmsgs_touserid = ID1 where privmsgs_to_userid = ID2; // Query ...

Try this

It doesn't pay to get into the php search function issues. It is what it is. I use the above method instead. Seems to work just fine.

Combine One Member: Two User Accounts

I have a member who had forgotten his password, and instead of contacting me to remedy the issue, simply created a new account and kept on posting.

I'd like to combine those two member accounts into one. I have phpMyAdmin and some knowledge using it. Please explain?

Thanks much,

Bill
