Display uploaded video attachments inline, as videos?

Is there anything built-in to 3.2 that will display an uploaded .mov or .avi attachment?

I've adjusted ACP settings to accept and upload these files, but they're only displayed as a link for downloading.

I'd like to have them display as videos, with controls.

Thanks for any guidance.

Re: Upload avatars broken

Patrick, you are the phpBB Support Team Leader for a reason. That was it. I had two return characters before the ?> in config.php. I would not have found that in a year of trying. I had installed a test phpBB directory, with all stock files, but copied over that same config.php to it, thus inadverte...

Re: Reducing thumbnail width

Yes, second version of the script. I found many parent attachments were not present in the attachment storage directory... maybe as many as 10%. I'm pushing those up now. It was not the usual ASCII vs. Binary problem, but rather a problem of some files not making it up to the server when I batch upl...

Re: Upload avatars broken

Yes, I did that before disabling CF. HTTPS connections with the secure cookies.

I found a ":80" after the domain name in those error pages.

Re: Upload avatars broken

DNS changes caused a disaster for connecting (domain not found). I re-enabled CF. I'll try this at late night North American times when not so many users will be affected.

Re: Is the IS_MOBILE conditional in 3.2?

Ooops, IS_MOBILE isn't in 3.2... or any release. It's a variable I added in /includes/functions.php :oops: In case anyone needs this: function determinemobile() { global $request; $useragent=$request->server('HTTP_USER_AGENT', ''); if(preg_match('/(android|bb\d+|meego).+mobile|avantgo|bada\/|blackbe...

Re: Is the IS_MOBILE conditional in 3.2?

No, I just pulled it in from my 3.1 board. Inelegant.

Ok, I'll work up a new template starting from the same place I started with my 3.1 template - from stock prosilver.

Thanks for your help, Mick.

Is the IS_MOBILE conditional in 3.2?

I looked around with Google, didn't find anything. IS_MOBILE is not working in my template that I pulled in from 3.1.

It's not flipping to TRUE with a user-agent of mobile devices.

OR

Something in my template is causing it to fail.

Thanks for your thoughts.
