Re: Own Forum for user groups

hmmm maybe I develop something...
not easy to create and not very secure really
If you implement it with an admin confirmation I see no big security issues...

I hope that there I methods to simply create new groups/forums, this would make things relativley easy.

Own Forum for user groups

Hi,
I''ve just saw a feature at another community... Where every user can create an own user group with an associated forum were he has mod permissions...

Does something like that already exists (maybe for 3.0.x)? I thought that I have seen something a couple of years ago...

regards,
Dave

Re: Third party libraries

As I said... Some Libraries are quit huge and it's more complicated to maintain differnt extensions. e.g. I have a CMS mod at the moment. With Chat, Statistics, seo URLs etc. I haven't published it yet, just use it in my own project. I was going to convert all of it in single extensions and publish ...

Re: [Beta] Default Avatar

I ad this Ex, but some user don't show no_avatar.gif on their profile. Why? As shadow already pointed out: Can you provide a little more information about, the kind of users, that doesn't display the avatar? Was curious if you saw this? I meant to mention that it was a feature suggestion. It was la...

Re: Third party libraries

There is no way something like a "library extension" will be validated, so As long as the extension that will use the "librariy extensions" will be validated I don't care. I'm using stuff like an ajax framework, or WYSIWYG libraries. These are not even small so if I use them in more than one extens...

Re: [Beta] Default Avatar

1/ What does it mean ? where it will be display in forum or ACP ? 2/ Is there a Github link for this extension ? 1) Where did you find this? 2) No, not at the moment. I'm using SVN. Have no time to get into Git. As I have already answered you, the current archive of the extension in this topic is w...

Re: Turn off template cache for development?

Couldn't you implement a parameter in config.php to deactivate the cache completely?

Re: Third party libraries

I decided to create a "common" extension for classes an files I use in more than one extension.

Or is there a way to move files to the third party folder?

Re: Multiple listeners order subscribed to the same event?

I suggest two measures: 1) an incompatible operator in the migration file where you can define known extensions that are not working with your own, so that the extension won't install 2) a list of event values an extension need read/write access to. May be in form of another yml file.. perhaps optio...

File handling in complex extension (CMS)

I developed a rather huge CMS mod, I want to convert into an extension, and I'm considering how to handle the files... either the old fashioned way (in my case above the forum root) or completely in the extension folder... What are the advantages of the extension folder? I tend to do it old school, ...

Re: Do you really need an ACP Module?

I think this is a good idea, if it is an optional thing. Imo configuration issues should be handled in the ACP (as well): 1) it's more consistent 2) normally you need it just once in the beginning, and then never touch it again 3) it's a big problem if you don't use prosilver based themes Regards, D...

Hooks in ucp_main.php

Is there a reason why there are no hooks/trigger events in ucp_main?
I'm converting some mods into extensions (works fine so far) and having trouble with the ucp module...
