Conversion failed due to overusage of memory

A conversion of a relatively large forum (70,000 posts) failed, and here's what the Apache error log showed: PHP Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 8388608 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 32 bytes) in *redacted*/phpBB3/includes/db/mysql.php on line 208 Allowed memory size of 8388608 bytes exhaus...

Actually, his board without the ? at the end doesn't give that error. What it does do is pop up the Quicktime symbol, but I don't know what comes after it because I don't have Quicktime :)
Heh.. that was an anal bug that I reported on sourceforge ;) In the schema dump file, for phpbb_sessions, the comment section right above the structure said it was the structure for phpbb_session, not phpbb_sessions :)
Oh, I did notice that, but CVS said +2 -2 lines were ch...

My only question is what was the latest change to the db? Today it seems bartvb updated mysql_schema.sql, but I cannot find anything changed inbetween the old file and the new file.

maybe don't you think, clicking add comment will go to a thread in phpBB forum?

Perhaps clicking add comment should go to add reply to thread in the forum.

Maybe when news is posted, a thread is automatically created for it in a specific forum...

I think at the bottom of every page could have some general stats for that particular page...for example "This page viewed x times since inception on mm/dd/yyyy. This page viewed x times in last 24 hours. xth most popular page on site, with x% of daily views. Last updated mm/dd/yyyy." Being a statis...

I was going to work on creating a low-bandwidth template a while ago...but I ran into problems, to be more specific the template system was not advanced enough to let you replace the user info buttons(homepage, aol im, profile, blah blah blah) with text links...ie there was one template variable tha...

No, they can't!

But you can easily do the same thing!

The include() function in PHP does the EXACT SAME THING as SSI includes. So just replace the SSI include statements with PHP include statements.

And your file has to end in .php for any PHP to work, so you can't do it in an .shtml file.

Bradleesmith: No, you can't! Those of us who have menu bars on our pages do change them every once in a while, so you can't just hard-code them into a template. It would only work if we were allowed to include a file using templates. Of course, when I asked this question like a month ago I think one...
