Re: Inline images only show briefly

Your test got me thinking I should try another browser. When I did so, only my usual one, Chrome, exhibited the problem. Time for me to do some more digging I think!

Thanks for your help :)

Inline images only show briefly

Best illustrated by visiting my test thread: http://www.routertech.org/viewtopic.php?f=8&t=3711

The page and inline image shows up but the page appears to continue loading. After a few seconds, the inline image disappears. Any ideas?

Re: Retake the Streets!

Such watch programs do exist, but they are ineffective due to where they lead; 1) Community Watch program encourages vigilance 2) Good evidence is presented by the community to police of misdemeanors 3) Youths involved are given lenient sentences that they brag about to friends or they are let off b...

Re: Retake the Streets!

Jim, I'm very pleased to see someone posting up this kind of thing. I've had a similar view point to you for some time. We have a very similar situation to what you described here in Leeds, certain areas more than others of course, but the problem is really very widespread. I have friends who have b...

Re: [Release] SoftGreen : A green skin for Phpbb3

The login text fields (username/password) when you click the login link at the top of this style do not have name attributes to them which means that clicking login doesn't pass the entered username and password to the login script.

Re: upgrade - images not being displayed correctly

anytime a pic is linked to in phpbb3 it cuts off most of the image, i.e it will only show the width of the forum. I believe this is a deliberate thing rather than a bug - designed to stop the forum shape being distorted by images that are wider than the space alloted for user posts. Thumbnailing et...

Re: Cannot Delete Moderator

There are a number of locations group permissions can be applied. Are you sure you've set them to no role in all of these locations for the forums you want to remove mod access to?

Re: Extreme Load Times

Have you tried installing a brand new, vanilla phpBB3 RC1 in a subdirectory and seeing how it performs? It strikes me that you've only tried it with conversions so far, at least that we can see anyway. Also, what are the full specs of your server (php version, mysql version, apache version)? Unless ...

Re: General error

Well that version is supported by Olympus so thats ok. Your problem however seems to be the actual query. If you note that parent_id has not been given a value in the query executed and so it has thrown an error. Is this error something you continue to see (or ones like it) or can you use the forum ...

Re: Getting Links to Open in new window

The DTD used by phpBB3 to render the XHTML is 1.0 Strict which doesn't support the target attibute in links required to open links in new windows.

Perhaps because if you have cookies enabled then you don't need to pass the SID around to every page. That aside though this sounds like a bug and should thus be reported to the bug tracker.

Re: [DEV] Canned Moderator Responses/Actions

I thought about this, but then would the moderator coment on each one, one for all, or not at all? If you wanted to comment on none of them there is already a system of closing multiple threads in the MCP. If you wanted to comment each one with something different you could close them one at a time...

Re: [DEV] Canned Moderator Responses/Actions

Sounds like a good idea - would certainly save a lot of copying and pasting when moderating a whole load of threads. Perhaps you could make it so you could say close a selection of threads with one saved closing message? And likewise for other functions. Just an idea anyway :)
