Re: [3.2][BETA] Markdown

I can't enable Markdown for the Admin group on my live board Is Markdown enabled in the UCP? Are administrators also in the Registered users group? Are administrators in any other group where the permissions to use Markdown are set to Never? I think I know what the problem might be, hopefully It wi...

Re: Some questions and bugs regarding EPV

1. The tool that provides phpBB here, which by the way I didn't know that existed, seems to be very outdated. You should use the phpBB repository test your extension. https://area51.phpbb.com/docs/dev/3.2.x/extensions/tutorial_testing.html 2. You should use the GPL-2.0-only license identifier, the o...

Re: [3.2][BETA] Markdown

I would argue that when users aren't allowed to use the extension, options and docs related to it should not be there either? I would say it's not an issue if it behaves like the standard BBCode options and permissions, after all it's the same engine and I want it to be coherent with that. For exam...

Re: [3.2][BETA] Markdown

Spotted a small spelling error in the doc page - Quotted should be Quoted. Thanks, I've fixed in the repository. It works really well, which is terrific. The changes won't be rolled into the master branch because they don't follow phpBB code guidelines, so if you would feel inclined to adjust Markd...

Re: Forums UCP, MCP, ACP, and any user/extention related page keeps breaking

That is not good advice. Whilst it will work sometimes there are some instances where it will cause even more problems. Could you give me an example? You mention that in the article but you don't give reasons. I just checked the script, "correctly" is sometimes subjective, for me is not correct to ...

Re: Forums UCP, MCP, ACP, and any user/extention related page keeps breaking

You can disable all extensions by running the following SQL sentence in phpMyAdmin: UPDATE phpbb_ext SET ext_active = 0 WHERE ext_active = 1; Change phpbb_ if your table prefix is different. After that you must purge the cache manually, that is, deleting all files and directories in the /cache/ dire...

Re: [3.2][RC] SEO Metadata

Al, do you mind adding the option for us to retain the attachment names in Meta Description please? Just as it was in 1.0.1-RC2? Meta Description?, I didn't use any bit of that extension, so It won't be the same. In my extension, they were removed because on a board with multiple images at the star...

Re: Password Hash Changing Automatically

It's not a bug, phpBB has a cron task that updates password hashes to use a more secure algorithm, You should update your application to use a newer password hashing algorithm instead, $2y$ is for blowfish (bcrypt). https://github.com/phpbb/phpbb/blob/3.2.x/phpBB/phpbb/cron/task/core/update_hashes.php

Re: Enhance: Forum Prune - Auto Move/Lock

You can use the extension Auto-lock Topics, as its name says, it automatically lock topics after a configurable period of time, and since version 1.1.0 it also supports the extension Move Topics When Locked.

Re: Phpbb in subfolder with nginx

Try the following, it's based on my configuration file: server{ server_name localhost hardlevel.com.br www.hardlevel.com.br; listen 80; return 301 https://www.hardlevel.com.br$request_uri; } server { ## Your website name goes here. server_name localhost hardlevel.com.br www.hardlevel.com.br; listen ...

Re: Setting up phpBB3 under nginx under a alias

In your setup /forum/ is not an alias, is just a sub-directory. Here's a snippet of a my configuration, my test board is also located in a sub-directory /forum/ : server { listen 80; listen [::]:80; server_name localhost; root /srv/http; index index.php index.html index.htm; error_log /var/log/nginx...

Re: [3.2][RC] SEO Metadata

Edit: I just realized that "Enable Open Graph" was turned off (like lots of options that are actually required, a bit annoying) by default when you install the latest version. That's not true, Open Graph is enabled by default: https://github.com/AlfredoRamos/phpbb-ext-seo-metadata/blob/1.1.0/migrat...
