Re: Upload a working extension

I have to read 10 books to upload an extension that was not working and that now works, for others to use? Thanks but I think I will pass. In fact is just one book, and is not that long  If that extension have a GitHub repository it would be easier, as you only need to fork it and submit your...

Re: Can't load forum - 504 Gateway Time-out

I have referred this case to our engineers and they have advised that we need to move your website to the Ceph storage since your website is using NFS storage which is not suitable for the current server utilized. The filesystem can't cause server timeouts, server configuration can and will, ...

What could be a mistake? In hosting settings?
Might be, try to contact your hosting or check your error log though your hosting panel.

Re: [3.2][RC] SEO Metadata

There are two issues: Your server returns an HTTP 503 error code, it seems to be because of an SQL error It seems that you're not using this extension since you have duplicate Open Graph and Twitter Cards meta tags, and this extension have checks in place to avoid that URL returned a bad HTTP respon...

Re: BBcodes, possible to "or" stuff ?

Post text are stored as XML, and the BBCode engine uses XSLT so you can use conditions such as if or choose or manipulate it from PHP, so it would depend on what you're tying to do. See the following links: - https://area51.phpbb.com/docs/dev/3.2.x/extensions/tutorial_bbcodes.html - https://s9etextf...

Re: Can't load forum - 504 Gateway Time-out

Some script is taking too much time to finish, it could be a script that processes a high volume of data, but you did not include the log so the only person who could know which page is the one that is giving you problems, is you. Investigate if it's a extension problem, so you could disable it and ...

If by MOD do you mean me playing with the code? MOD = Modification. Modification = Any change you've made to any core file included on the officially released phpBB package. MODifications are no longer supported Please note that MODifications are no longer supported since phpBB 3.0 is End of life [...

Re: Facebook Open Graph tag stripping parts of URL

You should not use a MOD if you're using phpBB 3.1.x or greater, and this forum currently only provides support for phpBB 3.2.x. As the error says, you should not use the superglobal variable $_SERVER , $request->server() should be used instead. And on a side note, I've made a extension (currently i...

Re: Converting vb 4.2.5 to phpbb, problem in start and special characters

You can try to change the collation of the tables and text fields (like phpbb_posts.post_text) to utf8_bin, which is the one phpBB uses.

I don't think is related, but also make sure the files are UTF-8 without BOM, you can do it with dos2unix or Vim (:set nobomb, can be run programmatically).

Re: Custom spoiler bbcode

The BBCode engine does not allow invalid HTML in the BBCode template.

jQuery is already included, so there' no need for that, and the CSS code can be included in a file of your theme.

Your can use this extension I made:
