Re: Member is receiving "Tried to redirect to potentially insecure url" after posting/log in

I would hazard a guess that your problem is due to moving between https and http (your site is https not http as you stated above) and is probably being compounded by using Cloudflare. I overlooked that in the template, but it's always been https since we opened in 2013. Also, I think that your tro...

Re: Member is receiving "Tried to redirect to potentially insecure url" after posting/log in

Please stop bumping your topic in violation of our 6 hour bump rule. If you have something to add within 6 hours, edit your prior post. Thanks. I figured I was allowed. If a topic is already at the top, how is it getting "bumped"? The 3 posts were about 10 minutes apart, and I figured it was within...

Re: Member is receiving "Tried to redirect to potentially insecure url" after posting/log in

I'm pretty sure that's gotta be it. Can I just remove the line that 3.0.14 added? // Make sure we don't redirect to external URLs if (!$disable_cd_check && strpos($url, generate_board_url(true) . '/') !== 0) { trigger_error('Tried to redirect to potentially insecure url.', E_USER_ERROR); } Or should...

Re: Member is receiving "Tried to redirect to potentially insecure url" after posting/log in

could this be the reason? (I do have login redirect, but not the bridge version through wordpress, just the prime redirect mod). http://bridgedd.com/support/viewtopic.php?f=24&t=338 That's due to the "security fix" (in quotes because it was a stupid change) added in phpBB 3.0.14. That "fix" is going...

Member is receiving "Tried to redirect to potentially insecure url" after posting/log in

Greetings. Today a user told me about an issue they've encountered while logging in and posting. He says every time he posts or logs in, he gets the following message: Here's his words: Actually here is the message I get everytime I log in or post (it does however have a link for me to return to ind...

Re: Automatically remove line breaks

It probably never worked for multiple quotes in the first way. You also have to find:                     // we have found a closing tag                     $out .= array_pop($close_tags) . ']';                     $tok = '[';                     $buffer = '';  After, add:                      /***...

Re: Any way to float profile (floated so that post text can fill in below)? [For responsive mode]

Sweet! Are your members loving it? :D Ohh some people resist change for as long as possible, and any alteration sets them into hysteria. I imagine some of them must have swiss cheese underwear and toothbrushes that look like old scrubbers. For the most part though, they're happy, but I do this sort...

Re: Any way to float profile (floated so that post text can fill in below)? [For responsive mode]

A quick update, over the weekend I spent some time figuring out how to optimize the mobile space a little better. First since it doesn't seem necessary to have the author name under the avatar and right next to it in the subject, I removed the "by:" in the language file so that just the username fol...

Re: Any way to float profile (floated so that post text can fill in below)? [For responsive mode]

OK, here's what I came up with:

As you can see, very little distinguishable difference before before and after for desktop views, but the new effect to mobile responsive was dramatic.

Thanks so much for the help Christian!

OK, disregard that last part, I'm on the right track after adjusting some margins from surrounding content. I should have some results soon :)

Re: Any way to float profile (floated so that post text can fill in below)? [For responsive mode]

I tried one idea, which was to include both codes, and div class them responsive-hide and desktop-hide with display:none in the proper css. It does work, but does not pass validation, gives me a ton of errors when I run the source code so I took it off. I'm sure I either did something wrong, or what...

Re: Any way to float profile (floated so that post text can fill in below)? [For responsive mode]

I've got a really good grasp on it right now, your solution was nearly perfect for my style, I did have to play around with the html though. I had to move a few things around, and a couple classes I renamed so that the css wouldn't effect other parts of the site. I'll post exactly what I did, but fi...

Re: Any way to float profile (floated so that post text can fill in below)? [For responsive mode]

You da man Christian! I've now got enough work to keep me busy for the night haha, too bad I don't have a prosilver style, I'd be done already, but I feel confident now I can get it done. I'll post some pics of what I come up with, but give me some time because I want it looking good before I show t...

Re: Any way to float profile (floated so that post text can fill in below)? [For responsive mode]

Hi there! This is definitely possible, although would almost certainly need a HTML edit. Essentially what you'd want to do is relocate the postprofile block to sit within the reply content area, then float it leftt, add some right/bottom margin and the text will flow around it. Will need some CSS c...

Any way to float profile (floated so that post text can fill in below)? [For responsive mode]

My current style is pretty heavily modified and I rolled out some big changes right before phpbb released 3.1 so I'm holding off upgrading because I don't want to put my users through more change so soon. With that said, I'm trying to keep my current setup as modern as possible at least until 2018 I...
