Re: [2.0.10] ezDownloads

I'm a little swamped with other things currently. If anyone would like to take over this MOD feel free to.

You can modify it to maybe read a text file to gather a description of the files in the folder.

ezLinks has it's own admin CP where you add/remove links and categories.

Yes, you'll just have to reference it like any other folder, so:

If your phpBB folder is http://www.domain.com/phpBB/

and you want it pointing to http://www.domain.com/uploads/

you would enter ../uploads

Sorry for the long silence from me here. I've been working on some other projects. I will shortly be updating ezDownloads again with the items the phpBB Mod Team pointed out and submitting it again sometime in the next couple of weeks.

Bit of an update here. I had to patch some small holes that the wonderful Mod Team pointed out for me. ezDownloads 3.0.3 is in their hands for validation now. I'm taking a small break from ezDownloads after this. I'm fleshing out my other mod, ezLinks, and getting it validated, and then I'm working ...

StalkR: I'll respond to each of your three points. 1) That was actually taken care of with 3.0.2 it gives you the ability to have it look at the whole thread or just the root post of the thread. 2) You're right. I hadn't noticed that. I'm not sure if I want to just leave it in the lang_main_attach.p...

You need to run the SQL commands on your database, usually via phpMyAdmin

With 3.0.2, did you go into the admin CP to the Forum Selection screen and check which forums you wanted it to pull from?

As for the other issues brought up here since my last reply, I'll address those as best I can shortly.

I haven't started work on the security yet. I've got some stuff on my plate that's taking my time. I'll be looking at how to implement it so that they'll only see attachments that they'd be able to get from a forum normally.

That is a feature of ezDownloads 2.0.0 It will only see the attachments of the first post of the thread. My latest version 3.0.2 has the ability to change that. It is currently in the process of being validated with the phpBB Group. I have a copy of it available currently at my site (http://www.herr...

Open ezdloads.php and look for the line $CFG['dload_forum'] = '1';

To find the forum IDs you can look at the index page and just mouse over one of the forums and look at the URL it provides, it'll say something like http://www.domain.com/viewforum.php?f=1 the f= is the forum number.
