You mean if you would have Googled the same title you've just posted? 8-) :) Because "reading furthur down" that's seems like a lot of topics to go through

Re: [Discuss] [Security] phpBB 3.2.2 Packages Compromised

I'm sorry John, can you share/recommend some good "file verification software"? Use HashCalc. http://www.slavasoft.com/hashcalc/ All you do is point HashCalc to the download and it will give you the hashes. I just look at the first four characters and last four characters for verification. Thanks m...

Re: [Discuss] [Security] phpBB 3.2.2 Packages Compromised

Yeah, I can only imagine how few people actually check hashes with downloads that offer them. I always check the hash, especially for my browser (Pale Moon) my FTP client (WinSCP) and anything else that's pretty critical, especially phpBB. I'm sorry John, can you share/recommend some good "file ver...

If you uploaded the full package after initially starting with the automatic updater, please make sure to first delete store/install_config.php.
Afterwards you should be able to choose the, in this case needed, database update only.
Very useful, thanks.

Re: Hiring a developer for a phpbb mobile application

when you use an app to access a website aren't you still using a browser to view the webpages? It's different, there is a difference, most browsers won't give you the experience you get on apps, I don't see the difference between using a specific app to access a website or just accessing the browse...

Re: Hiring a developer for a phpbb mobile application

It's too difficult for ordinary forum user to 1.install it 2.Sign up for Tapatalk 3. Search for your forum 4. Follow your forum. Again BYO is too expensive.

Re: Hiring a developer for a phpbb mobile application

Thanks for your opinion Arty, i was just thinking that people spend much time on online communities through mobile applications than on browsers (which most of them are slower and not so friendly). I think application is one way to convince these users to stay and participate on the forum.

Hiring a developer for a phpbb mobile application

Is it a good idea to hire a developer to create a mobile application for my forum? I think this will help me to make people visiting the board stay more on the board and get effectively involved. I also believe that an application will make the website try to compete with other similar websites whic...
