Re: [DEV] Board Statistics

Great extension! However, I tried using the Upload Extensions to install it and got this error when clicking "Yes" to confirm installation: General Error SQL ERROR [ mysqli ] Field 'custom_pages' doesn't have a default value [1364] SQL INSERT INTO phpbb_statistics_config (max_modules) VALUES(20) BAC...

Re: [RC] Upload Extensions

Thanks for the extension. It will help a LOT of people who do not know or have problems grasping how to manually install mods!

I've tested it with a few betas and have had no problems yet. Great job!

Re: [BETA] Advanced BBCode Box 3.1

Hi,

I've installed it using [RC] Upload Extensions and it installed flawlessly. The Hidden BBC is a nice touch, great job!

Re: [DEV] Portal Extension for phpBB 3.1.x

It may be a lot to ask but having an editor integrated to create BBC and HTML pages would be a great addition!

You should have guessed that I was going to ask. ;)

Re: Discuss: phpBB 3.1.0-RC1 released

I know quite a few people who shy away from phpBB and other such software because of this. The reasoning is it takes longer for them to get their forum going the way they want because it is a steeper learning curve for them. Is it really that much steeper. If they install the forum software the pre...

Re: Discuss: phpBB 3.1.0-RC1 released

Ok, I understand more clearly but still wish they would be uploaded via the ACP as well as styles. It would make things easier for people who are new to forums. Personally, I know quite a few people who shy away from phpBB and other such software because of this. The reasoning is it takes longer for...

Re: Discuss: phpBB 3.1.0-RC1 released

There is no such thing as MODs anymore, MODs are replaced with extensions, which just need to be uploaded into the right folder, and after that need to be enabled in your ACP. So, for the end user, the process is still the same except the "install" part? And extension files and folders still need t...

Re: Discuss: phpBB 3.1.0-RC1 released

Ok, the talk is that Automod is obsolete? How so if you cannot upload mods via the ACP in 3.1.0 as Automod does...or is there something I'm missing because I see no way to currently do this in RC1? Uploading via the ACP is how most modern forums and blogs do things to make their software more user-f...

Re: [RC] [BRIDGE] phpBB to WP connector 1.0.1

Hi, I know there are subdomain issues but am wondering... I have my main domain (docskillz.com) and my subdomain (skhilled.net). skhilled.net will be used for phpbb. Is it possible to use wp and phpbb with the connector? Or will it be possible to use it this way in the future, I should say? This add...

Re: Default Smiley Size

You're right. I just came back to post something about that and saw your post.

After changing some of the sizes the image stretched but were still cutoff. I can fix those with backups but the information I was given by Oyabun1 was still proven invaluable and did help a lot. :D

Re: Default Smiley Size

Or you could make changes directly in the database running queries like these: UPDATE phpbb_smilies SET smiley_width = 20 WHERE smiley_width = 15; UPDATE phpbb_smilies SET smiley_height = 20 WHERE smiley_width = 15; Change phpbb_ if that is not your table prefix and the 20 and 15 to the new and old...

Re: Default Smiley Size

Yes, I realize there is no global setting but there should be a way to alter the default px I see in the admin when I edit smileys. Wouldn't that be a global setting? I seriously doubt it will ever be added because it is something most board admins will never need to do and for the very few that do...
