Topic: Gzip: What if server doesn't support it? Edit: Gzip rules!

I thought I would update this with my stats in order that anyone else doing a search for Gzip would be better informed. On the day I made this topic, my data transfer for the entire site was 791.65 MB. The next day the transfer was 367.05 MB, despite a 15% increase in traffic for that day. I've had...

Thanks for your help! I've now set it up & look forward to seeing how much bandwidth it saves. :)

Gzip: What if server doesn't support it? Edit: Gzip rules!

My forum has really started to take off, with over 50% of the monthly bandwidth being used up this month already. I'm considering turning on Gzip, but have no idea what it will do. What will happen if I turn it on & my server doesn't support it, and roughly how much bandwidth as a percentage wi...

They remain in the senders outbox until the receiver comes online. The email notification gets made as soon as the pm is sent, but the sender can still delete them up until the point where the receiver comes online. My guess is that somewhere between those points the sender changed their mind. :)

Is it possible to reset the online users record?

My site was one of the ones attacked by the Santy.A Worm. Thankfully, no harm came of it, but it did leave behind a reminder, in the stupidly high online user record of 247 members (the forum only has 210 registered members).

So my question is, can I reset the record?

Problem with excessive number of guests.

First of all, sorry if this is in the wrong section. It's not a bug exactly, but it's a problem I may need help with. I run a site, which like many sites has a forum. It's a growing forum with just over 180 members at the moment. Things are going great so far, but when I logged in today, I got the ...

[S] Users still shown as moderator after demodded

Small problem. After somebody has been removed from the mod list, they're still shown as green, as if they were a moderator. Any way to fix this? Preferably without installing anything onto the site.

Transfering data from one forum to another

Hello! I upgraded my forum tonight from 2.0.10 to 2.0.11. Ignored the warning about not upgrading if you had mods or themes installed, and ended up locking out everyone who was using any of the extra installed themes. Managed to get into the admin account over ride everyones skins to subsilver, whi...

He posted using the mods account. As I said, it was definately him because I can IP check him on both forums we're both registered to.
