Attempts to exploit bbcode.php?

In my regular review of my log files, I've noticed several attempts to locate and execute the bbcode.php code.

Anyone else notice this in their logs? And do I (we) have anything to fear from this?

I did not want to just rely on a strong password so I validate that the admin username for my board is used from an authorized TCP/IP address (this only works if you have access to one or more static addresses).

If you're using the "ban" method to combat these spammers, here's some of their IP addresses to ban:

213.136.96-114.*
213.136.125.*
213.156.201.*

Someone at 213.156.201.74 has been testing the mod I put in yesterday - it works!

I'm having the same problem on my board. I just modded my board to discard any Web site address entered during registration. A Web site can be entered after an account is activated. I just noticed that when I registered here, my registration did not appear in the member list until after I activated ...
